That may be true. But it's also true they don't know computers. Computer literacy in the younger generation (in this case, college students) is shockingly low.
Couple of things in reply to these comments.
It's very easy for people of my generation and older ( I'm 58) , to say they're too old for computer related things and that takes away the desire for them to use a few brain cells and attempt to learn new things .
Secondly , the increased usage of smartphones with the younger generation has to have an impact on how often and consequently how adept they are at using a traditional computer . An interesting article from a few years back regarding this whole issue , in particular the first reply >>>
