  Now that Flash is gone I've downloaded the app for my Mac OS. When I launch the app from the Launcher I get a pop-up "WGT Golf Game Unexpectedly Quit"

  I'm assuming you're dragging the uncompressed folder from the desktop to the applications folder. Also, delete the installer from the desktop and any short cut it puts there, if it does now.

  Right click go to packages contents, application and find the golf.app file... Drag that to the dock and run that. 

  It bypasses the updater which can cause issues sometimes.

  Big Sur can be more resource hungry than Catalina ... I moved back to Catalina on a 2015 MBP...

  Hope that helps ... Don't run the downloaded files from WGT from the applications folder... do that on the desktop.
