Thanks to WGT for introducing these into the RG's - but how about 18 hole high entry fee RG's

The reasoning is that these RG's attract the better players who have credits they can afford to loose, or gamble with, so the scoring is good and tends to 'bunch up' around the 30 mark for the 9 hole, certainly at St Andrews back 9

18 holes would give a wider range of scoring - probably

Yes 18 hole ready go is much better idea, especially when you got metered like i did yesterday, at least you could claw back a decent score on 18 holes, and not have to withdraw like i did yesterday.

We discussed it and it may show-up soon. If not, sometime next month.  Right now, we are seeing how popular they are and looking for overall feedback on how to improve them.

18 hole one is definitely something we will look at.

and a crapshoot.  Drop $20 on the chance that u get 14 holes of headwinds and crosswinds with the only tailwinds coming on par 3's?  While someone else possibly  gets mostly good winds on the right holes?  Not for that kind of money.  Moderate winds you can fight through for the most part.  But 25-30mph HW and CW for a whole round...ouch...just a thought......

the way i look at it ...it is still possible to birdy every hole ... so it's really in your own hands no matter the wind speed/direction

well nearly every hole..i think its the 15th par 4 which is not reachable in two with strong headwind

Wedge shot drained on that hole, maybe it could be possible...

There is no way in hell I will play the high roller RGs with random winds.  I'm not spending $5, $10, $20 so that someone else who effectively gets a 400y shorter course than I do can beat me.  I stopped spending money on the straight RGs and other premium tourneys for the same reason, and will not spend money on them until WGT can assure me that I will have similar conditions per hole as the others I am competing against.

I used to play all my tier RGs.  I won't play open RGs due to sandbaggers playing from shorter tees with the same clubs I have, but I have since stopped playing all RGs and premium tourneys due to the variable conditions.  The only tourneys I will invest more than the cost of some balls for are CC tourneys with low to moderate winds.  Those, I can see the winds on the CC Tourney page before I sign up.

You can go to the main Tourney page (not client window) and get the same information.

Here's the link, just highlight the RG and info is to the right.
