Why is that a 560y par 4 in WGT?

In reality it is a par 5 when hitting from 560y champions tee. Can easily be checked on the clubs website.

So much for "the #1 realistic golf game".

    Does it matter?

you see the way golf works you have a total score.

it doesn't matter whether your 4 is a birdie or a par. its still a 4.

Chambers Bay and most of the WGT courses are from U S Open courses. Several of them had a par 5 converted to par 4 during the U S Open. WGT reflects the course set up for those tournaments.

actually the first hole and 18th were played as both par 5s and par 4s. it varied depending on the day.

I believe for 3 days hole 1 was par 4 and on one day it was a par 5. When it was a par 5 they shortened 18 and made it a long par 4.

Off the wall question about CB...what does it take to learn to like this course? I can’t find any redeeming qualities in it yet I hear many folks speaking highly of it. Even heard several people classify it as “easy”.

    That's correct.

    Hole #1 was never a 560 yd Par 4.

For the love of Christmas, don't anyone tell the OP about the 4th hole of Pinehurst! 😉

While it's a tough birdie hole, it's not that difficult to make par. Take the par and play on.

Of all the things to complain about this game not being realistic, the first hole of Chambers Bay doesn't make the cut line.
