Torrey Pines Hole 3 Par3 distance issue

  HOLE 3 Par 3 champ tie 194 yards -38ft downhill, no matter what wind, every shot I hit were 8-10 yards long, does anyone has this problem?  This issue has gone for a while since a month ago the issue was there, it has no problem in recent couple of weeks, now it comes back to me.  Do not question my distance calculation ability, I recheck many times.

  The listed yardage is wrong, Plain and simple. Depending on the equipment you're using, this may vary alittle. I subtract 15 to 18 yards, from whatever you're calculations total. I'm usually within 10 to 12 feet of the cup. Good luck

  You have to subtract 15-18 yards are even worst than mine, WGT should look at it.  Kind of weird was the distance has no problem for few weeks.

  Somewhere in the forums, Yiannis1970 advised to consider the elevation 68 down instead of 38. Spot on!

  then it must be a typo mistake from WGT, 68 down must be spot on.

  Whether it was a deliberate or accidental mistake from the part of WGT... who knows?... all we know is 38 downhill is way way off and you'd be better off throwing it out of the window.

  Just play a punch shot from the tee, FBS if it's a tailwind, and no spin if it's a headwind. 

  Problem solved.

  I like this thread because there doesn't seem to be a 'real' answer to his question posed. 

  I have holed this out, and the yardage is a bit tricky, and there are 2 different irons I use for the different wind conditions I face on this hole.

  I remember playing another golf game and the announcer was Feherty, so every time you took a shot and it wasn't correct he would say, "Nope, try again." or  "Give it another go would ya".

  Once you do get it, you won't forget those 2 shots and the yardages.  

  Give it another go...
