    Quote WGT:

TaylorMade does it again with the top-performing set of irons on WGT. These irons give you maximum distance and control, and pair perfectly with the R11 Woods available at the same levels.

For any lower level purchasing the Level 30 R11's the above wgt advertisement would be true.

However anyone buying the far more expensive Level 90 R11's are in for a nasty surprise as the swing speed of the irons is far faster than the woods and definately not a matched set!!

Nice clubs yes, but buyer beware!

These clubs are the first full set of clubs that I have seen on wgt with mismatched swing speeds.

Hopefully WGT will alter this ASAP?

Are you saying the individual irons have different swing speeds within the set? If you are I would try clearing your Flash cache, this can't be right.

The R11s that are available at level 32 do match the R11 driver from level 29.

Hes actually talking about the "Meter Speed" . I havnt purchased any of the R11 line but if you look at the meter speed the irons are faster then the Woods. All sets with the exception of the newest golf set have had the same meter speed. I for one really try to have the same speed and my G10 set is great for that , from my driver to my Wedges they are all the same speed. I personally hope this was a oversight and that WGT corrects it, they could speed up the driver & woods, or match the irons with the Driver & Woods. Just my 2 cents.

    Mes.

Btw I have no intentions of upgrading anything I have with the exception of my wedges possibly. I want to leave the better drviers etc for the day I become a Legend, but that me personally. I look forward to he day they make tier specific equips.

Jim, WGT is now offering the R11s as a Full Set with the new irons and old woods, so GC is talking about the mismatched meter speeds within the Full Set, between the irons and woods.

The set also includes the R11 Hybrid with the same yardage as the new R11 3 Iron, so that would seem an additional mismatch.

On the plus side, WGT is giving over a 1000 credits off on the Full Set, over buying the Top Level R11s individually.

If it didn't have the Hybrid and therefore was another 695 cheaper, The Full Set would be a great deal.

It'd also be nice if the irons and the woods had the same meter speed.

I purchased the R11 Irons this morning. I am not seeing that problem at all. They actually do match the meter speeds with my already existing R11 Driver and 3W, but then again I am using Legend balls and not the balls showing on your profile.

The R11 Irons are the same speed as were my 2.0's.

    Just my viewpoint.

    Cheers
