Duphpherer: I almost always look at a putt from both sides. Sometimes when I switch to reverse view, the dots are going opposite direction than I expect. I'll have the aimer just outside the hole, then reverse view shows the aimer should be outside the hole, but opposite side. This seems to be happening more lately. It's quite baffling as I don't know which view to believe.
Duphpherer, I think the fmagnets video that Simon posted gives a great explanation for why you are seeing the dots move differently from the forward and reverse views.
In addition to that, I've made it part of my putting routine to always click the 4-way arrow to look at the 'grain' of the putt (i.e. the north-south dot movements). Often, and especially when you are looking at a putt from an offset view (where the grids form "diamonds" instead of boxes), you'll see the grain showing a slight break toward one side or the other. When I see that, I take that break into consideration also when calculating my aim point, in addition to whatever east-west break I see.
