I want to see if this has happened to anybody else. So I was thinking about upgrading my irons that I have used for years. I rented some irons to test them out & decided that I didn't like them. Decided my irons performed better than the more expensive irons. Ever since that rental a couple of days ago, my irons have been acting strange. It's like I have no forgiveness at all. My irons have 3.0 forgiveness & like I said, I have been playing with them for years. I know how they perform in certain situations. Now if I just miss the ding by a little bit my ball goes way off from where I aimed & it's not a wind thing either. Example: 150 or so yards to pin, 3-4mph headwind maybe just a bit headed left. I adjust my aim a little to the right & add a little distance. I barely miss the ding to the left & my ball ends up about 15-20 feet left of the pin. I know there is a penalty for missing the ding on the side of the wind direction but it's never been this severe. Even shots where the wind shouldn't have any influence of where the ball lands, if  I miss the ding by a tiny amount, my ball goes way off from where it should land. Something is not right with my irons now. After many years of using them, I know how they act. I'm starting to think that somebody from WGT may have messed with irons or maybe it's an automatic thing if I didn't choose to upgrade after the rental. It's like somehow the forgiveness got changed to 0 or something else was changed. Maybe they think if my clubs are playing like crap all of a sudden, I will decide to upgrade. They already know I was thinking about it because of the rental. I wouldn't put it past them. We all know about the traps they set up on certain holes to try to make players lose balls. If anyone else has had this experience, please let me know.

Try editing that and break it into paragraphs, It is really hard to read that...

    I think your overthinking it.

At least he used commas and periods. I've tried to read longer posts than his, which haven't included either...lol

    pdb1:

Yes the VEM does it own mapping of your play on every course and every hole . And based on the the amount of play on each course and hole . Bases its adjustments ( mostly very subtle  ) based on your frequency of play . On each course and hole .

As one racks up more play time on a particular course . 2 things occur . 1 is you get better on that hole and course . And 2 the program built into the game to help this The VEM . Has stored more particulars on you . And with both factors . Your game play starts to smooth out .

One would have to read the patent to verify that is some of what I read in reading it several times .

I've read the VEM patent.  That's not what the VEM patent says at all.

Amazing how my irons seem back to normal now not long after the 10% rental bonus expired. You be the judge.

As Scott suggested, do the registry clean-up (reset). That'll do the trick.
