-10 doesn’t make the cut through to the final round in veteran in this current showdown in the group I am playing in , hence the reason higher players are staying in rookie and therefore the small coin room.

Have sat these out recently but played this one,  cut line in my veteran group is -12.  And they may not all make it.

    Sounds like an oxymoron...

High level players have to play in lower level rooms because they cant compete with high level players...

My wish would be for WGT to force Champs and TC's into expert thus filling that field and alleviating the cut off being so low. force Legends and Tour Legends into veteran and leave the lower levels to play in the rookie division.

Rob , I couldn't disagree with you more. I'm what you call a "fake" legend. I didn't get their by shooting great scores, I got there by beating higher level players in the lower coin rooms. So if it is just "title " your looking for then its very easy. All you have to do is keep upgrading your equipment other than balls.

You are forgetting the huge advantage you get from the tee box against higher levels. To a legend in coin game nothing more dangerous than a clubbed up Tour Pro or higher.  Tour pro is where I would start raising equipment levels as I could.

Also don't forget to get as much apparel as you can from coin rooms. Many high level players don't wear apparel when they play coin rooms they don't want to disrupt the "rhythm" of there game

No Offense (which means I'm going to say something that will probably be offensive) but you've been playing this game for all of 2.5 days or so and are complaining that you cannot beat people who have been playing for months or years??? It is going to take some time and effort to learn and gain the skills to win consistently. As a lower level player you are given a tee advantage in the lower coin rooms. That helps to even out the playing field but it will still require you to put in the time to develop your game to get better. Everyone above you has been in the exact same position you are in when they first started.

And just an FYI, this doesn't help you ...

This just disheartens me and I end up forfeiting........

How do you expect to get any better if you just Give Up when it gets a bit hard?!

Perhaps you would explain to me what an oxymoron is …… then I would know if you are referring to me , or yourself. !
All I am doing is explaining to the original poster , why he is encountering a lot of higher level players , when even -10, -11 or -12 are not progressing into final rounds. What would encourage a tour master , for example to move out of rookie into veteran , when there is little hope of getting into final rounds ?

I don't think that is always the case. I think there are many reasons players play the way they play.

I don't want to project my own opinions on to everyone, but there are many players who think coins are worthless and that don't like playing in coin rooms. Still, if those same players enjoy playing in the Clash, it is beneficial to upgrade their apparel in the fastest way possible. The fastest way to do this would be in single hole lower level coin rooms. It is not a matter of competing with equals as much as winning as many as fast as possible.

There are many tier specific tournaments and competitions. If a competition is open to all players, then there is nothing wrong with players playing in those competitions, whatever their reasons might be.

I get what you are saying here, but there is an extremely poor payout in the EXPERT division (percentage wise) when compared to the VETERAN division. I have seen many of the very best players in the game playing in VETERAN. This is just one of the many reasons that a player might not be playing where YOU think they should be.

Like all other competitions, if a player doesn't like the format, they shouldn't play. Participation will determine what stays and what goes. There is no reason to be mad or talk disparagingly about players who are playing a game they are eligible to play.

    1. a figure of speech in which apparently contradictory terms appear in conjunction (e.g. faith unfaithful kept him falsely true ).

Understood, I wasn't disagreeing or disparaging what you said. I just found your example to be a contradiction, I was not insulting you and it was not personal, just was the way I saw it and I used that to add to the conversation.

Nothing, nor should it- I just personally dont think legends and above should be playing in the "Rookie" division.
