Good initiative Nico.
First of all - kudos for correcting the pay-outs in the monthly tier open tournaments. I think you found a solution that most support. Good job.
In general, I think a wider variety of tournaments would be nice. Right now, we have the samaments week after week and with no to little incentive credit/title wise to play. A while ago yoe tournu introduced the Kings Cup, which was a great addition. However, if that will be put on repeat in infinity, the charm will be lost.
There could be a quarterly rotation with different themes and prizes/titles to win perhaps? Make it worth chasing and focus on, with a variation.
As mentioned many times before - tighten up the endless qualification rounds to the Live Series. The etour format is better that way, have as many tries as you like but to actually qualify, you need to pass the next brutal step.
In addition to that, I think you should consider addressing different group of players in a clearer way. Some want to compete at the highest level, others don't. Yet, both groups are treated pretty much the same when it comes to options to play etc.
My last thought: Take impression of the member driven tournaments (World Cup, Alt Shot) which by many is considered being the best tournaments there is during the year. Surely, WGT should be interested in at least supporting them in one way or the other?
To sum it up - shake it up, make it cooler/attractive/intense with focus on different player categories. Outside the clubs, the game is a tad sleepy to be honest. (no offence)
Cheers
