  Hi Nico , I have put a posting in bug log, but from iPad , mobile app can’t now enter the ctth bracket tournaments . Thanks

  The Abominable Showdown has some bugs of it's own.

  Playing the first round I was in first match when opponent quit so I let it cycle through to the time out and it loaded the page where I was about to putt on the 3rd hole and it crashed and came up with an OOPS error message saying something unexpected happened.  The page went away for a brief moment and then it took me back to the app home page.  When I went back to the Abominable Showdown it did not show me as playing any holes.  

  So I did it again and my opponent quit again and went through the same thing again but this time it allowed me to finish the round.

  Opponent quit again for every match which was a total of 4 matches for the 9 holes.

  There has to be a better way to play Showdown's.  People quitting is getting old.

  Wanted to share my experiences in hopes we can continue to improve the Showdown's for everyone.

  It doesn't have to be forced . Scott offers a way to bypass the updates . Every time ,if you so desire .

  This is off topic I know, but my curiosity got the better of me. How can you quote a post that does not appear to exist? Yes, I know it's easy to fake, but I don't think you would bother doing that.

  P.S. Seems that a lot of Kittykat2017's posts have disappeared!

  Either Kittykat is deleting her posts (which I doubt), or WGT have done something so that no one can see them.  I'm pretty sure I've seen some of her posts recently.  Some years ago Icon managed to set some flag on my account to hide all my posts from everyone, only I was able to see them (to this day I still don't know what I had done to deserve that as I hadn't posted anything bad at that time, and I was in the middle of running a WGT-wide tournament and had to abandon it).  This applied to all posts I;d ever posted, not just the latest ones, and it applied to CC posts too.  It was only during the 2nd or 3rd year of the Andyson tournament (at least 5 years after it happened) that Champion gave me my posting privileges back.  I've just been through a few posts from Kittykat's profile, and like you say, none of them are visible to me.  Maybe she has done something for WGT to do to her as was done to me, although I doubt that.  I've told her to message Nico to have a look into it.

  Okay Paul. I had an inkling that your quote might have been taken from elsewhere as it had a class attribute (HTML) on it that isn't normally there.

  Right, going back to the updates issue. I have suggested using the golf.exe file to launch the game to avoid getting updates. Well, going by what just happened to me, this is not a permanent solution as it turns out.

  Since the last update I have been running the game via the golf.exe file, not because the update was bad, but because I should test out my own theories.

  The game ran fine for about 10-12 days, but the last time I fired it up, an image appeared in the centre of the game window...

  

  ...forcing me to click an update button before I could continue, the game then downloaded and installed an update before I could play.

  Sorry guys, but using the golf.exe file might be a way to postpone an update for a short while, but that appears to be all it is good for.  : (
