Country Club League - Winter 2012

  17 IGCC White -  East Coast CC - A    4 games to play

  Actually, there are two of them:

  2/9/2012 14:22:05 - Willsstrs won 2&1 vs 66anto66 (4th match) - it's in the raw database, but it has not been recorded, Bootsie.

  Anyway we have some issues in scheduling last two matches. tiaz79 got no answer from his opponent (twice) and we are still waiting a sub player for Astruccio's match.

  Unfortunately for us, this week challenge is gone. But we (me and most of my CC mates) find this kind of issues slightly annoying as well, cos they don't enable a decent weekly run of the tourney.

  I cannot do anything about people not playing, as a couple are loners and I never succeeded in getting in contacting them. You have to remember this is my first go at it and Minkywinkster was the original East Coast captain. The country club has not been doing too well recently, because of some big-timers leaving and the forums have stopped. The people who used to reply every day now don't check. The only thing I can do is post on walls or send messages. The thing is I can only do this if I am informed what needs to be done.

  I cannot do anything about people not playing, as a couple are loners and I never succeeded in getting in contacting them. You have to remember this is my first go at it and Minkywinkster was the original East Coast captain. The country club has not been doing too well recently, because of some big-timers leaving and the forums have stopped. The people who used to reply every day now don't check. The only thing I can do is post on walls or send messages. The thing is I can only do this if I am informed what needs to be done. 

  Sorry Will, I didn't mind to blame on you. Never thought about that.

  Maybe I had not to complain here and it wasn't fair. But I was waiting since sunday an East Coast sub player to play vs Astruccio.

  Anyway, you had a deserved victory on this week challenge, well done. ;)

  By the way, I have a little problem in another match;

  dalbyto vs billhorseman, IGCC Red vs UK Golfers Elite A.

  Due to heavy snowfall in central Italy, the yesterday's planned match had to be rescheduled. They should play on thursday morning/lunch break (Central European Time).

  So I'm here to ask a little deadline extension for this match.

   Round 3 is coming to an end on Wednesday. I'm getting too many players saying folks aren't responding and playing and you know I just don't get that. I see them leaving messages on the walls and pleading to play with them and I also see that the very player they are begging to play with them comes on and plays different games and still leaves no messages telling the other side what's going on ....

  This is the exact behavior that is keeping top playing players on the site out of these games and the reason I know this is because they have told me .....

  Most players should feel confident in their opponent's reliability and should have reason to mark the date and time agreed. However, as a precaution come to the forum here and  post the agreed date and time in advance, then if they are a no-show, post again at that time. This will result in a forfeit. (Posting both of these notices at the same time is not acceptable as this could obviously be a source of abuse of the system.)

  Hopefully not gonna be a problem but just in case . . . I accepted ARILD75's Friend request last week and then not seen him green since. I sent him a private message and posted on his wall yesterday offering to play pretty much any time today or tomorrow (Wed) morning) but not heard anything back yet. I've also noticed that his captain (Ironking) has also posted on his wall, chasing him to play the game.

  I'll keep you informed.

   Just one more match left between Goldteam Dragons and YBRCC because of time availability conflict, captains are aware and working to get this match played.

  Just posting this here in case there is a problem.... in the EZ Country Golf Club vs UKGE -D team the match between Rab10 vs heatonwhite, my player answered a pm from heaton on Saturday with a suggested time for tonight (Monday) its not a missed tee time because he never heard back from heaton but also did not see him on tonight as yet (11pm already in the UK, both are in the same time zone) I will post this on their captains wall as well... again at this late date and not hearing anything back from Saturday, I thought it better to post it here as well in case.

  Well the match never got played, I have not chatted with my player yet but I see that heatonwhite was not on today and as far as I know has not been in touch with Rab, also I did post on their captains wall yesterday but have not heard anything back from him as well and he was on today at least to purchase balls according to his activity... so where do we go from here?
