Hi Bootsie,
It saddens me to have to report some very unsportsmanlike conduct, I was playing an alt match with Cal (clleejr) and Jerome (canuck1056) of Electra this morning when I asked cal that I saw him in the line up for this weeks slor and then was subbed by dansamcam, I asked how come he couldn't play and his answer was I can't compete against these 57 avg guys so he said that jerome approached him to put dan in instead and as he said "i was happy as a lark for that" (dan 54 avg vs Cal who is a 67 avg.) when I called them on this and said that isn't right, jerome replied that "it's within the rules" I said no way, I read the slor thread from last season and I remembering him saying, once the sub rule came in, that he didn't want to see it abused by this very thing, holding back your better players to bring them in as subs once you saw the draw.
Has this changed Bootsie, because if it has it doesn't seem very fair and not very sportsmanlike, it also smells a lot like cheating to win at all costs....
btw once I said all that to jerome (the captain of that team) he started to back peddle and change his story, but I was playing with a guy from my country club that also was on skype with us so I have a witness to the conversation if you need one.
I think this slor league is a lot of fun and encouraged my country club to join it, I would hate to see it all fall apart by teams that practice unsportsmanlike conduct in order to win at all costs, so I wait what the league will do about this blatant abuse of the sub rule.
