Ads causing disconnects in reconnectin lobby.

  Title says it all.

  If an opponent disconnects, yu are taken to the lobby. But if an ad pops up, it throws you out of the lobby when you close the ad. From there the screen locks up when you click on "continue" match.

  Luckily this has not cost me any skins/losses. But it will.

  Please look into this. Eliminate all pop ups on reconnection.

  BUMP

  This is still happening. I am using Firefox. I get thrown out of the reconnection lobby if an ad pops up - this uses up, i believe, one of my own reconnections. We only get 3, so this is VERY important.

  Try to fix this, before you have to start handing out refunds.

  So this would block the WGT ads from the game client itself? those are the ads that cause this, you know the $5 ready gos and new r11 ads...

  Firefox, inexplicably just works better on my laptop than chrome, so I can't really use this, but I might try another blocker. I so rarely get disconnected - just when this happens after an opponent gets disconnected - it's like a 50-50 chance that I get disconnected everytime an opponent does.

  A Comodo Dragon browser dedicated to the game and that-haven't seen any kind of ad since. VanHalenLover was a good one for knowing how to avoid ads in Firefox. For the short time I used FF I used Flashblock. It was an extension that used buttons to click where Flash objects would normally appear.  :-)

  This is simply not true, Jim.  I use Comodo Dragon, and Game Booster and Ad-Block. Every Locked Out Alt. Shot game I have had was a result of an advert popping up while sent to the Main Page, following a disconnect. You  close the Pop-up advert, and instantly you get an Error Message to close your Browser Window, and restart your Game Client. Upon doing that, you get the option to Continue or Forfeit the game. Hitting Continue does nothing. Game stays in limbo, and you eventually have to hit Forfeit to abandon game, and start a new one. I am 100% certain a lot of players have experienced this, and I have sent Bug reports to WGT. To no avail.

  It is for me, FD. Promise. Are we talking about the same thing? I get locked out like you describe, too, but there's no ad involved.

  Are you talking about the ad going to the game client Main Page or the WGT main page?

  An advert popping up when sent to the Game Client main page. I play a lot of Alt. Shot games, through wgtls, and every day a lot of us experience the same thing. The dreaded Locked Out game. Inevitably, the culprit is a pop-up advert for one of the 4 players. Absolutely certain of this.

  Around 3 months ago  I brought the same problem to Icon's attention.   But  it has been a month and have not had another lock out since.     I use Adblock for the ads,  But the ad FD is speaking off  is a  WGT ad.   I get one every day when  I  FIRST log on to the site.  But none afterwards...
