AnaNikolaj and I played our 2nd round match on St Andrews.  Lots of birdies mixed in with a few missed putts, mostly from me.  Jure never looked in trouble from the time he went ahead with a birdie on the 4th to my par.  I had chances to pull it back, but he had a few clutch putts under pressure and made them all.  21 birdies between us (9 for me, 12 for Jure).  Very good game, and played at a pace that I like - thank you.  Final score 3&2.

EDIT:  I watched Jure's video of our game last night.  I found it very interesting that we play a very similar game.  We both move the marker on the minimap before driving rather than changing camera, making it far quicker to play the shot.  We both move the marker on approach shots by just trial and error, no ruler of any sort used, again making it quicker to play the shot.  We both play miss-ding putting, although I tend to move the marker a little too whereas Jure leaves it in the centre of the cup.  I used to move it far less often in the Flash game, which begs the question if WGT changed the precision spec on my Rossa putter - I do feel on some putts that the ball doesn't start on the direction it should, and on some others it doesn't move as much as it ought to.  Jure uses a higher level putter and it seems his precision was much more consistent, particularly as he wasn't moving his marker either.  And again, no counting of dots or timing them, once again making it quicker.

    TdotDoba:
    In for another week

This is what I like about this format - each round is just a case of making into the next week, and it's a great relief when you do make it, particularly on the likes of quirky Merion.  They say that strokeplay is just you against the course, but when you are chasing leaders you are looking to beat them too.  In this format it is just you against the course - either you win or the course wins.

I didn't watch the US Open when it was held at Merion; I wish I had, would have loved to have seen how the greens played.
