What has happened to BPB?

    the beauty of using topspin/no spin on this drive isn't just about avoiding the tree, but also about minimizing the damage to a pushed drive. With back spin, you are going to carry over into the 40-50 rough. Hit it low and even if you miss it, you will likely roll into 30-40 rough - still in birdie position.

    Just tried the top spin, perfect, left a 80 yrd wedge, dropped it to within 2 feet for a birdie. I do appreciate the help. Thanks again.

    Also there is no need to hit a full shot, it doesn't matter a lot if you are 10 yards or so back down the fairway, with good clubs you can still get the ball to stop on that green.

    Well, that's realism, isn't it? Rain falls, trees grow, clouds move etc. Now in the beginning of December on Long Island the leaves should be down, though....

    Punch driver works as well.
