With the season nearing, I was wondering what is some of your favorite Christmas music?

I grew up on this, and it probably is still my favorite

I have a few others, but I'll save them for next time.

    Merry Christmas!

Well as I'm from Sussex, I'll choose our local carol.

Well now, I'm not really one for songs, but Christmas songs are different; they're bright and lively songs.  Most of the ones I like are from yesteryear, but songs one can listen to year after year without getting bored of them.

Here's a list of a few of my favourites (in no specific order):

    Happy Xmas - John Lennon

Fairytale of New York - The Pogues & Kirsty McColl

I Wish it Could be christmas Every Day - Wizzard

    Last Christmas - Wham

    Merry Christmas Everybody - Slade

Stop the Cavalry - Jona Lewie

Do They Know It's Christmas - Band Aid

Mistletoe and Wine - Cliff Richard

All I Want For Christmas is You - Mariah Carey

Boney M would be on this list too of course.

The number one selling song in history, until Whitney Houston redid Dolly's song, was Bing Crosby's White Christmas. Still my number one. Growing up in the NW mountains of Pennsylvania, I always had a white xmas, close to the heart. Now that I live in Georgia, one of my favorites is Christmas in Dixie by Alabama. Next would be all I want for xmas is you, by Vince Vance.

All I Want For Christmas is You - Mariah Carey

The last year I served in the US Army was in South Korea.   No family was allowed to come with,  I spent a Christmas there and the time zone difference was about 13hours,  this song always brings a tear to my eye,  makes me remember video chatting with my wife and 2.5yr old daughter for christmas that year.   My daughter was 2 when I left and turned 3 just before I got to see her in person again.

Guess my silver lining here was missing the "terrible-twos"   She is now 11 and just started middle-school........One word now......."DRAMA"

Merry Christmas to all, and to those who prefer happy holidays, Merry Christmas to you too ;-)

Jeez!  How did I forget that one.  It was in my head when finding the youtube links, but then forgot.  But yes, definitely one of the best.

    White Christmas - Bing Crosby
