Assuming that you've been playing under the same environment and conditions for 12 years without any issues, and then if it suddenly stops working just because you got a new laptop, chances are it's being blocked by the firewall or antivirus. Especially with newer operating systems, security tends to be (overly and unnecessarily) tighter by default nowadays. I think that’s the first thing worth checking.

Ditch win11 and go back to win10.

Since Microsoft will cease supporting Windows 10 after October 14, 2025, including security fixes, that would not be a smart thing to do.  And in Jason's case, it's probably not even possible, since his new gaming laptop most likely came with Windows 11 pre-installed, with no way to revert back to Windows 10.

Hey, Jason.  It's been awhile.  Hope you are well 🙂  It's hard to say where the problem lies, but here are some things you could try:

    1.  Make sure you're logged out of WGT everywhere except on your new laptop, then try again.  If you're logged in on 2 or more different devices, sometimes WGT gets confused.

    2.  Do a RESET of WGT on your laptop, then reinstall the WGT app.  Instructions HERE (credit to ScottHope).

    3.  Try using a VPN.  Sometimes WGT doesn't like certain IP addresses, for whatever reason.  Yours may be one.  A VPN will make it look (to WGT) like you're connecting from a different IP address.

Hope this helps.  If not, reply here and maybe some folks will have some other things for you to try.  Or, talk to Gary (nopro17) - maybe he'll be able to help you via Discord chat.  Good luck!

Personally, i don't give much attention to what Microsoft says (my opinion). I was using win7 with no issues whatsoever till 2 years ago (hardly 2 years...). Win11 is not a new OS, it's simply a service pack that Microsoft decided to change its name (kinda like with Nvidia's bs with 3080 which put out 2 versions with the same chip and after 2 months being ''crucified'' by everyone, had to withdraw the card).

As for the latter you are saying, even if he cannot revert back to win10 the easy way, he can do a clean install of win10 via bootable flash...at least till 10th of October.

    PS

Microsoft's last windows update (win11) was a disaster. Google it a bit and you will see.
