FFS WGT fourth time I've played the 500 Best of front 9 RG, and fourth time I've had 30mph headwind on the long St Andrews Par 5, Fourth time 28mph tailwind on the Par 3 - This is not right in a single play tourney when other players have opportunity to score on these holes

When exactly is it going to 'even out' for me?

The problem I see here is that when the game is difficult, not many are happy about it.When its easy i.e. cabo 1k,then its easy to score and peeps are happy. You actually have a better chance at being profitable in a high wind tourney cause half the people WD.

9 holers for 2k are kind of a joke imo,for the sake that it will come down to a tie break 99% of the time. Then 2nd place consists of 8 people tied at 28 or so.(payout affected)Doesnt make sense.High winds, champ greens, peeps dont play it cause they are afraid they cant stick their irons 2ft from the pin every shot. It's really the same 50 guys playin the HS RG's anyway.Personally I think icon is doing the right thing by adding variety.Maybe the high winds ones should be the 1k or 500,and the easy ones 2k since they are afraid they cant score in high winds.

    WGTicon:

Why don't you tell me what settings you prefer and I'll see what I can do about that. I do take requests once in a while :)

Just remember, everyone else will have the same settings:)

How about 18 holes at Royal st george from hack tees with NO WIND!, will be a bit like crazy golf, or pitch & putt

Have you ever asked if anyone else has had these winds?  I once went 15+ times with headwind there.  So its not just you!  So stop whinning!

    Cheers,

mrenn you are spot on, I think people are getting scoring well and playing well very confused. Sorry but a 61 on Oak in high winds and champ greens beats 54 on Cabo every time. I love a challenge and  the harder it is the more satisfying a good score.

If you play high winds over 18 holes then on the whole they even out, you know if you have a nightmare set on the front it will lighten up on the back(90% of the time!!!). Problem is people have a hard front nine and give up.

I've been getting hammered all month on the back nine at KI, finally got a great wind set today, promptly screwed it up for a 32,  oh well:)

High roller ready goes,Lower tier tees and Mod >Low wind,At least it will be fun even if you know your not playing well enough to win,Fun= Players:) I accept TAP argument about Oak,I enjoy that setting too but they are not filling up,Lets all go from white tees and have a blast,Win or Lose:)

I think I mention this in another thread.  The key is to have the RG's fill up quickly.  Although I haven't been playing much lately you may want to revamp the entry fees.

    1. 100 credits (std)
    2. 200 credits
    3. 300 credits
    4. 400 credits
    5. 500 credits

Although the entry fees are alot lower, you'll find more participation.

For example the 5000 credit BPB has had only 3 more entries in the last two days.
