Nike balls are AWESOME, they made my ball hit with long iron spin and roll slowly on st andrews #2 just like a cleveland wedge, and on R.S.G #3 they stopped my ball within 2 yards of pin in 21 mph tailwind with R11 iron, cally's either wont reach or don't stop in that wind.

OMG they made me clear the brush with my drive on R.S.G #5 in 14 mph tailwind..DO THAT CALLAWAYS!

    gfsullivan:

Fact is, WGT is becoming a very expensive game to compete in, especially with a level of players that will never run out of credits, while the majority cant afford it. Thats life though I guess.

I love to play golf. The problem is I have 3 young children so I don't get to play near as much as I used too, which was 3 to 4 times a week. That comes out to about $80 a week depending if I walked or played with friends and rented a cart. If I went through a sleeve of Nike balls a day that would come out to $32 a week. Less than half the money I would be spending on a real course. What's even better is I can pay for those balls with the money won in RGs.

I've been here 17 months. I'm a level 94 Legend. I'll be generous with the credits I've bought and say $200 worth in that time. And 75% of that money was in the first 7 to 8 months. That comes out to roughly $11-$12 a month. I can live with that. Hell I spend that eating out for lunch 2 or 3 days a week. Cheap entertainment if you ask me.

There is a LOT of posts on here with people bi¢tching that its "a rich man's site" only for the "haves" and not the "have nots". Well guess what people, that's pretty much every aspect of every day life.

I suggest you leave WGT, put the time in and get better or get the _ _ _ _ over it. Pick one.

$4.50 Nike balls ?    Way too expensive.    Lets' see as much as I like to play that would be $9 to  $18.00 a week and  $36 to $58 a month.            (whistle)  you guys are joking right?    I still hate paying the  $3 a sleeve which still runs me  $24 to $30 a month !

I've got to tell you. I wish I could afford to pay that amount of money, but sadly I'm not one of the higher class in this economy.. But I guess it is cheaper than a Drug habit, LOL

But, seriously  every update this past year is getting to be more expensive.  I'm sorry but in my opinion that is  just a ridiculously high cost for one sleeve of golf balls..    I have to say Thanks for getting into the  Christmas Spirit.    I've been a loyal customer here at WGT for a few years now and it would be nice for you guys to give back??    But all in all Im satisfied with the $3 Callaways and the $30 irons :).

The better update for the Holidays should have been  Buy one get one Free for the Month of December on Callaways or any ball  something along those lines to show  us customers;  you do care about us spending money with you all year, every year....

Love the Game play but not the added high cost to play with friends on a competitive playing field.

Just my 2 pennies on the subject  :)   Happy Golfing

The Nike balls give more edge to the top players. That's what wgt wants. IMO, top earners are earning credits mostly for wgt, not themselves, taking credits from average (but brave) players. But be careful what you wish for, wgt. Widening the gap may discourage participation in RGs and other tournaments.

Also an advice to average players, mostly in lower tiers: work on your clubs before upgrading balls.

^^^^^  This. You're asking for an expensive PITA if you don't.

In the end, it doesn't have to be that way for them. I find that some people believe their to good to do surveys for credits, or don't simply want to waste their time on them. I complete surveys everyday and now I have 30 level 45+ Callaways in my bag at any given time, free! I'll be able to obtain the new Nike golf balls in about a week, and start building a stock pile of them now that WGT has introduced their own survey page to earn credits, free!

That is fine, I do surveys also, but lately it is going on 3 weeks and still can't get on the 450 credit survey, says I pre qualified  but then won't let me take it. Same thing with the 150 credit survey.

But still 450 credits for balls, is getting out of hand a bit. Here's a  thought why don't they give all player's two of the Nike balls so we can judge for our self if they are worth it.

Spending 4.50 a sleeve for virtual balls that can be lost in one swing. This creates a mixed emotion situation, kind of like watching your boss drive over a cliff in your new Corvette. Just what feeling do you prefer?
