.. There's no way they 'WONT' change the current system, by hell or by high water,,, ,,, mite take 3-6 months, but by then the waters will be so murky n the revolt so strong it will force their hand.. ..  I think a level based tier system is the only way they can go.....

By far the fairest system would be one that involves players reaching a certain tier before clubs get unlocked,

The issue then becomes a loss in revenue for WGT.  i/e newer players can spend money right away.

I like the suggestions of incorporating MPC earnings into advancement..ofcourse losses need to be tallied as well.

Additionally, WGT does have the ability to weight MP towards advancement, if you look through the Faq's more points are awarded for winning MP against a higher tier, less for a lower tier, etc.

Yep....thinking I'm about done here myself.

    Sandbagging is way outta control.

Some will say suck it up and whatever but really, the number of players who are avoiding moving up to Legend is just too much.  I used to love to play MPC and wanted to dig the skins games but the scales are tipped.  I never won much but it was a somewhat fair fight. You knew who you were playing.  And I guess you still do with high level low tier baggers.

It's a piss poor system and I'm tired of ***-talking baggers who just laugh when you call them out in a match.

I'm sure WGT will try and "fix" it by selling me $10 Legend balls soon but you know what, you'll have to go get that $10 from the LVL 90 master who stole all the skins or blistered me in the last MPC.

without changing anything in "their current level/tier system" make all credit games play from the same tees... sandbag all u want but when u go to play for some $ it'll be game on ...... only way to  address the issue....

What an utterly brilliant but simple solution TaterNater.

A couple of months ago I did some working out.  I know WGT is a business and they have to make money, but have you considered this.  I know the high stakes RG's seemed to have quietened down, but let's assume there is one 2k RG per day.  There's 100,000cr in the pot of which WGT take 20,000. The remainder are simply being passed around the same players.  Assume three 1k RG's per day from which WGT take 30,000cr, 50k cr so far.  Say 5x500 RG's, WGT's rake 25k.  Total so far 75k credits that are taken out of circulation each day.  Then there are, say, 25 regular 100cr RG's which bring in a rake of 25k.  That's 100k cr total.  As I said, the RG's seemed to have quietened down now, but maybe one can now understand why.  100k credits is $1000 worth.  Add in the credits taken in rake from MPC and skins games, and all the balls and clubs being bought each day, and this can easily amount to a few thousand dollars worth of credits taken out of circulation each day.  These 'spent' credits must be replenished somehow!!

You nailed it.  You can definitely see a decline in participation in the 1k and 2k RGs, 500s to a lesser extent.   When they first started a 2k was going off every 24-36 hours.  Now just a couple months later you're looking at one ever 3-4 days on average.   Fast forward a few more months and we may be lucky to fill one a week.   Also keep in mind that the top players are also taking a ton of credits out of circulation and getting pennies on the dollar in return from the elite collection, so you can basically chalk that up to rake also.  I have profited over 300,000 credits from RGs since the 500+ credit  RGs were introduced in Oct., and I'm sure a number of others are well into the 6 figures also.

Seems to me 15% on the 500s and 10% on the 1k+ RGs would be much more fair.  Obviously WGT does acknowledge the principle of charging less rake as stakes are increased as evidenced by the rake system in place on skins games.

And Rosey you are right that they need to figure out a way to incorporate tier advancement based upon all games that involve earning credits.

Very good idea Tater and one worth WGT taking note.

Another member has stated in the past to make all game-modes count towards players advancing in tiers. This way baggers can't hide in Blitz or multi-player games. There's a lot of level 90+ players popping-up all over the place with 57 averages and still in the Master and Tour Master tiers and only having 120 ranked rounds, and one thousand multi-player rounds. I guess it doesn't go against the rules, it just seems so cowardly IMO.

WGT's not about being fair....that's why we find ourselves more & more discussing these types of issues including Rakes & Sandbaggers. Whenever money's involved, greed will take presidence. However, greed usually always is the killer too.
