C'mon guys.  Lighten up a bit.  Was just trying to put a humorous (apparently not) spin on what I thought to be a lame offering.  Will waste the ball on CTTH, so.....thanks a bunch.

Perspective: drove to my local gasstation today, put 35 dollars worth of petrol (as I do every couple of days) in the tank, got a complimentary bar of chocolate and best wishes for Christmas and the New Year...

I imagine it cost WGT several thousand dollars to give this free Christmas golf ball to every member at WGT. That's money that could of paid the light bill, rent, or for the developers to work on something more constructive towards the game in general, like bug fixes. lol

It probably took a few developers several weeks to write the code. Just a thought.

    Merry Christmas.

I think some folks deserve the Lump of Coal Ball.  An irregularly shaped black ball that rolls crooked, goes half the distance of standard balls, and shoots a dark vapor trail right in the player's face.  And they have to use it exclusively for all of 2012.

Put me down for a share of the unwanted X-mas Balls, too.  Funny, I don't remember anyone bitching about the free Dove version of these balls.  And you don't have to look at Stewart Cink's bald head to get the X-mas Ball.

(Edit:  Got an eagle and a 30 with the X-mas Ball on X-mas!)

    Richard4168:

Maybe not have broke the bank, but there was still the cost of staff, namely the developers who had to write the code. I do see your point on the equipment being virtual though.

For every ball they give out -- virtual or not -- someone is NOT purchasing and/or using another ball... so thousands and thousands and thousands of 50 cent balls (many being used instead of using up Nikes and Callaways) is nothing to sneeze at, IMO. They could have done nothing and you'd still be playing. I think all the players should give WGT a gift, free of charge: no griping about gifts.

I belong to 2 other on line games that I have to pay a monthly membership fee to belong too, and you know what they gave the membership for the holidays?? zip, zilch, nada!!

So at least it was a nice gesture on WGT's part.

Merry Christmas to All. (even the baugh humbug crowd)
