Dinging a shot more than usually has the ball flying off the club face in the totally different direction to where it's aimed......or you can expect an extra 5 yrds further than intended to an approach.

IMHO...........dinging a shot guarantees you the hole in a donut.

Getting a great result from a dinged iron approach these day is a fluke.

Sorry to ruffle any feathers but I'm only speaking from experience.

    Hell yeah....ding is king roflmao....whatever.

Ding? what ding? I don't need no stinking ding, I can miss on my own.

There's nothing more that would make my putting game stellar if I could only hit ding on all my iron shots. Missing ding on my iron shots means I'm putting from 9 to 15+ feet instead of 3 to 6 feet when I do hit ding.

    sweet...

i tend to cringe when i hear the ding sound on approach shots.

but if it works for your i15 irons and balls....it's good....i've never tried that combo.

I set the aimer against the wind, then go for the ding at all strokes.

I dont always get the ding, but in my experience, using the aimer up against the wind, will make the missed ding "less" important ... I rarely miss the ding by a lot. So if I missed the ding, the changed aim, and wind combined, will make the ball go at least in the "right" direction.

Most commonly I get a ball at a whack location after meter has gone berserk on me. Either through a lag spike, or by a sudden increment in meter speed. Happens sometimes ... even with the unlimited wgt balls. Not often ... just sometimes.

Aim and ding is the best way ... at least for me. Ding ensures best ball control.
