I set the aimer against the wind, then go for the ding at all strokes.
I dont always get the ding, but in my experience, using the aimer up against the wind, will make the missed ding "less" important ... I rarely miss the ding by a lot. So if I missed the ding, the changed aim, and wind combined, will make the ball go at least in the "right" direction.
Most commonly I get a ball at a whack location after meter has gone berserk on me. Either through a lag spike, or by a sudden increment in meter speed. Happens sometimes ... even with the unlimited wgt balls. Not often ... just sometimes.
Aim and ding is the best way ... at least for me. Ding ensures best ball control.
