Is it a Hole in One, an albatross, or a double eagle, or is it all three.

Very, very, nearly did it yesterday, which is why I am asking.

It is all three of those, and can be also referred to as an ace. I've nearly done it a few times, but haven't stuck it yet. Good luck, maybe someday

It's all of them as a hole in one on a par 4 means you shot -3 which is a double eagle also known as an albatross to some people.

    It really should be

HIO... on a par 3 is an Eagle

    Double Eagle..On a Par5..holing your 2nd shot

Albatross should be HIO on a Par4.

We call a D/Egle an Albatross down here in Australia... I rarely hear the word Double Eagle.

It's a quintuple negative double bogey

Either way, if you hit it, you're on fire, in the groove, hot

Its the only one I have and saved on my replays. Hole in one and double eagle in one shot.

Very nice shot. What club were you using there. I know it looked like a hybrid but which one

At the home of golf (St Andrews no less) it is known as an albatross.  The Americans had to make up their own word(s) for it!
