Couldn't agree more with what everyone has said above. G10s and free/cheap balls can definitely take you all the way from TP to Legend once you're familiar with them. There's the odd occasion when the results of missed dings seem a touch unfair (due to the relatively low forgiveness), but ultimately it's not going to make you miss many fairways, and like everyone has already said, for your approaches, high trajectory is definitely king. Good luck!

Do take advantage of the free rental period to try out different clubs and see what you like. G 10's are nice but R 11's better if meter speed is no problem for you. I say rent em all and see what you like best.

I cannot believe it is overwelming that the G10's are the preferred clubs.... i figured it would be split... I have enough to buy the entire set of G10's when I make it to 60 and will have enough (from surveys and videos) eventually to get a great driver.... I can't wait to drive more then 240 ... lol

thank you all so much for your help and I will probably rent a set or two for free when I get a chance but I'm not at a high enough level to try either set that I mentioned.

take care all and hope to see you on the course!

The G10s are it buddy!! You can compete with the best with them. High trajectory is great. Little forgiveness but a slower meter. And if you are having to get clubs slowly, the G10's have the same meter speed as the R 11 driver. So if you end up buying the R 11 driver, it will have the same meter as your G 10 irons. They also have the same meter speeds as your wedges also. That makes the game a lot easier.

i have rented the level 30 something G10's and I am not having issue with the meter speed off the hop but the lack of forgiveness will definetely need to take a little while to get used to.... miss the ding and you pay! Even the lower level ones feel great compared to the others I have tried especially the raptures that feel realy lose and fluffy.... no feel

thank you all for the great advice

A word of caution if you rent a lot of different club sets during this free rental period. If you rent several different club sets and play them all it could corrupt your flash cache. So after the rental period is over it might be a good idea to clear your caches.

I can never seem to find the correct place to enter whats on my mind. Tonight I purchase a Cleveland Wedge and my credits were taken but I could not equip my bag with the wedge. it showed it once but then I could not find it and could not get it to show when I was playing a round.  I am sure that you can fix this and if this is AGAIN the wrong spot I apologize,
