ThunderBoltz: We were on 10 green when I had enough of this torment..
This means that you were NOT disconnected and chose to end the game . Albeit a slow connection.
The rules (as you agreed when registering clearly state :-
After each hole the player should check that all players are shown on the scorecard BEFORE screensaving any card. On completion of the round (f9 & b9) the player must save the score cards and upload it immediately upon completion of the game to the appropriate forum thread for golfseekers. All players must records the scores, all must upload in the same way. ALL cards must be seprarately marked on the golfseekers forum thread relating to the competition name and round/week number and format played. It is not acceptable to play 2 separate 9 holes. (unless a disconnection causes it) Players must complete the entire round in one visit assuming no disconnections occur
The player must not discontinue play unless: |
.
|
|
(i) Golfseeker has suspended the game; |
.
|
|
(ii) Disconnection has occured; |
.
|
|
(iii) There is some other good reason such as sudden illness. |
If the player disconnects during play he should report to golfseeker as
soon as practicable. If he does so and golfseeker considers his reason
satisfactory, there is no penalty. Otherwise, the player is
disqualified.
This Clearly wasn't the case as you have admitted openly above. Your playing partner was not at fault as he was prepared to play the entire game as set out in the rules.
Your scorecard is classed as a no return. and subsequently means DQ
I regret having to take this action with the very first card submitted, but I must be seen as consistent with the rules as set out to be fair to all players involved.
Sriley13 You may continue with your round (with another player in GS Open - you may "mark" front 9 and continue scoring from the 10th tee)
Lets hope this isn't the trend!
