Are you sure Crazyman? The form clearly asked for my age, or was it avg.? It's all good just the same. Anyone can miss from time to time.

    My current avg. is 66.93.

LOL  at that age  I wouldn't have thought you need specs  just yet.  It clearly says "My current Average is"  .......      But all is well,  I copied your average from your profile page and have entered it into the system.

PS.. The page is constantly changing at present as I add/edit and organise it into something a little more user friendly -  I may well set up a separate website (but not until all entries are in) for it or add it to various golfing sites I have, as there will be quite a lot more to introduce before the comp gets under way.   Stats etc will also be included for each player to view. I may include the facility for players to add profiles  etc. (depends if I feel the inclination to do so  lol)

In the meantime  see if you can get a round in under 41 :)

    UPDATE:

    Amendment to rules/conditions

To prevent the possibility of sandbagging and a potential problem (kindly put forward by JT) The rules now state that to be elligible to enter the competition you must have been regsitered with WGT as a current member before 01/01/2010 or have at least completed 50 ranked games since 1st Jan 2010.

Hopefully this will eliminate anyone that attempts to bypass the sporting aspect of the comp.

    Nice marketing.

Devils advocate...are you allowed to use WGT to market your business?

How do you work out that Norm?  I am giving away prizes and I also will be purchasing some of the prizes from WGT.  I shall be creating a separate website (with a separate PAID for registered domain name) solely for this and other competitions I run (as explained in an earlier post in this thread.

Thanks for your concern and perhaps your insight into what you may believe is devious.  It certainly isn't done with any profitable intention. I have not, nor will I ever attempt to gain any advantage/s by offering FREE prizes.

I am not attempting to market anything Norm.  I don't need to. Just because I don't use various hot-linking techniques to show images or spreadsheets etc  does not mean I cannot use my own resources for offering competitions.

Still I suppose some people are cynical enough to take a view  they percieve to be advantageous, when in actual fact it is quite the opposite.

And, by the way (further to your post in your own thread - can we keep this on topic (The topic being a FREE to enter competition

PS  If  I would have wanted to make it advantageous  I would have included that an email address was needed to register (so that like most companies, they would harvest them for promotional reasons -(you will find email address is not a requirement)

I thought I was asking a legitimate question. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers. Perhaps I misread, but the prize is a free website and support for one year. I assume that if the person wishes to retain the site after that, money will have to change hands.

    Good luck with your tournament.

The only feathers I try to achieve on on birdies and albatrosses and the elusive condor

Assumption is perhaps not a good thing. I thank you for the questions you've raised.

If the winners (YES there are various winners of web packages, along with winners of WGT merchandise) decide to, they will have the option of moving their site to wherever they wish. They also may not wish to retain it. There is no obligation or onus put upon them.(if there was it would have been stipulated in the conditions )

Prizes - some of which are WGT balls. Would you expect those to be retained once they have served their means?

If I offered a washing machine as a prize or perhaps a plasma screen TV, would you expect the prize to be replaced when the warranty expires?  The problems in offering consumable multi-national prizes are numerous - compatibility  with power etc  - transportation - duty & taxes- international warranties and so on. Then of course if I was to offer a cash prize, we go into another realm, such as appropriate licences and International laws.

People entering the competition know what the prize is before registering.

Lets hope my explanation clears your (what I see as a) rather negative outlook on what should be a fun and sporting competition

Thank you for your sentiment of good luck.

As promised I have created a stand-alone website for the competitions.

ALL NEW STABLEFORD LEAGUE (see the site for details (button below) on how it works)

PLATINUM CHALLENGE (starts in less than 2 weeks  PRIZES to be won)

On all competitions you will be able to view individual stats - league tables and more.....

These two comps are ready for you to register.  More will be added in time

Once on the NEW site, simply  create an account from the login. Then select COMPETITIONS from the top drop down menu and create your very own profile. Register your WGT name just once and the database will add you to all comps.

I have updated all other links, so they point to the new site.

To all those  members that have already completed the previous entrance form, I am afraid to say, that you will now need to register on the NEW site as this will be a permenant base. Once registered you have no need to worry again.

More exciting additions will be added to the site soon, (It took me a few days to get it where it is!)

Very cool site Crazyman. This is going to catch on and be a very cool thing. The forums are great too and there almost self moderating. The site is very clean and simple.

To bad we can't play yet.

    Thanks Richard

I am still working on improvements on the site (I only created it yesterday and haven't stopped yet  lol ) and hopefully we shall have a few exciting additions soon.

I am working on a system that will also show a hole by hole analysis. (data obtained from stableford matches) & useful for finding your best and worst holes)

The comp (Platinum Challenge)  kicks off on 15th Feb so not too long to wait.

The Stableford comp will run separately alongside with a date yet to be set.. Details will be put well in advance on all comps.
