Do we need to become a member of this site or will everyone eventually have full access?
There aren't many advantages to being a member of the site, but I would recommend it...

Do you have to be legend before the cup starts or just before you play in qualifier 1 at the end of the week 9?
You do not have to turn Legend before the qualifiers start. If you made Legend in week 9, you would be ineligible for the week 9 events. Basically, any events running the same day as you turning Legend you would be ineligible for. You must make Legend ASAP to stand a chance of qualifying.

Looks great Doodles, I wish you and your team every success with the tournament. My only gripe with your set up is the weighting of points towards the unlimited play tournament qualifiers. Each team will consist of those that are not only great players but great players who can play the most often.
I'll give it a bash though, hopefully Scotland will be prominent in the final stages :)
Tiffer67,
The point set-up weighing towards unlimited play is due to the fact that random winds in single play may swing the qualifiers one way or the other completely. My example is this: Player A can easily beat player B, but throughout the qualifiers player B gets much better winds. Because a lot of the WGT-organised weekly singles are heavy winds, this can have as much as a 10-shot difference on your outcome.
Secondly, you mention that the teams will consist "of those that are not only great players but great players who can play the most often." The finals will mix foursomes and fourballs, so it is important to have a lot of available time to play the matches.
Finally, I think the balance is slightly more weighted to single play than unlimited play; if somebody won all the events, they would win 800 from single plays and 500 from unlimited play. I aim to please everybody with the qualifying schedule, and hope I have done so.
Thank you for the compliment, hope to see you up the top of the leaderboard :-)
