I don't use my G10 level 59 set anymore but they were the club that got me to the legend tier .

OK the new G20s have a slower meter speed but the price increase is a high price to pay.

Have to agree with YankeeJim, very clever way of getting the clubs in the pro shop without making the game ridiculous.

I think it's a pretty clever way to get G20s here without making the game ridiculous with clubs better than the R11s.

Clubs better than the R11's will probably arrive in 3 weeks time.

I haven't played with the R11's yet, still a couple months out at the pace I'm going. But, judging by the huge performance leap from the lvl59 G10's to the Burner 2.0's, I have to imagine the R11's are much better still. Seems like anything 'better' would be getting awful close to overkill.

They could have made them comparable to the R11s like oh I don't know 120-220 or something at least not this nonsense

The G10s still are my favorite clubs and I'll pull them out of closest from time to time to enjoy.  The 2.0 burners were big leap over g10s in "stickability"   The R11s were a small step over 2.0s. Mostly I play the r11's for its amazing 3i 225 club.

For me, best scores came with 2.0 irons and call lvl 35 balls.  Was a deadly combination and more predicable than the r11 and nikes are at times.

So... you want cheaper clubs, available at a much lower level, with performance 'comparable' to the best clubs available, all nicely bundled with a snail's-pace mater? Sounds like a bit much to ask for. Maybe the lvl81 clubs mentioned will be somewhat longer, but I would think will also come with a bigger pricetag and faster meter. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

RUNWME - I have grown very fond of my 2.0's paired with the Cally i(z) balls, definitely posting my best scores. Personally, I will have a hard time ever convincing myself to switch to the Nike's, although I am looking forward to the R11's... only about three months out the way I figure, if I don't get sidetracked by whatever the upcoming lvl81 release brings.

    From the News section:

The latest from PING and WGT, the new PING G20 golf clubs are a major upgrade to the popular G10s, featuring a new driverwoodsirons and discounted full set. These clubs are top perfomers with a slower WGT swing meter, and start unlocking at Level 58. Note, higher level clubs unlocking at Level 81 will be available later in February.

I have a bit of a nostalgia for those G-10's.  Those clubs were the ones that carried me from Master to Legend.  I went a very long time without having to purchase clubs because of that set.  The were affordable, had a high trajectory, and were good enough from the Master/TM tees to make me competitive.

So L81 clubs will be better than L90? I don't think so. I bet they'll be better than the Burners though.
