    sdorr:

I am positive that I am not alone in this belief. Surly MIO would back me up on this along with many others.

Perhaps we will see if I am correct.

I am sorry Sdorr, but I have never, not in any way, not ever, seen any such derailment or other of said, or unsaid, threads, be they cotton, polyester or the forum kind, from my partner in crime... I mean partner in guild, Miss LizzieRossetti.  But then I have to admit I have been taught ever so expertly to not see such matters that may in some way incriminate the accused, to the extent that I can now only see clearly out of one eye, and that be only when the light shines through the window at the correct angle of 67.93 degrees, which is not possible except for the months of July and August, between the 28th of the former and 2nd of the latter.  She sends Lambert over to attend to my failing eyesight, but it only seems to get worse each day he comes.  And, of course, she knows where I live, she tells me!

So, you see, my hands are tied (with fur covered handcuffs and initials L R on them, but that's irrelevant).

Oh, and by the way, don't call me Surly!!  Sir if you wish, but not Surly.

And finally, may I congratulate you on being one of the only people on this site of many thousands who seems to know how and when to use there, their and they're.  It is a disgrace what is taught, or not taught, or probably more accurate not learned, in school these days.

Back to the OP and about hijacking threads - nope, not me neither.  Honest, Guv!

Mio, I must be honest and admit my shame. You see "Sir", at 52 years of age, I have forgotten quite a bit, to the point that I had indeed forgotten that there was even a "they're"  at my disposal. Crying shame, this getting old.

Sorry to hear about your failing eyesight, I would have thought that you known better than to let Lambert "help". Pity really, that Lambert, with all he has been through. Little princesses running through the halls with their Ramon's tee shirt pulled up over the head running the halls and such. AH, what his eyes must have witnessed through the years. A tall tale to tell at the very least.

But I digress you see, LIzzie and I had decided, wait, to be more exact, Lizzie decided that in no way, shape, or form, should this thread be derailed. (Please note that in that correction, proper credit was given to whom it was so rightly deserved). So nope, it's not going to be me either.

OP, your thread is safe from the likes of us. Rest easy and have a nice day!

    the accused

The defendant, I meant the defendant.  Innocent until proven guilty, right?  And where are you going to find a jury of 12 no less that will testify against dear Lizzie.  And if you find those 12 you know what to do with them, right???

And still not hijacking this thread.  Just sayin.

We're not.  You should go and tell mummy.

Oh, and by the way MB, that is not what this thread was about, so how dare you hijack it.

You and I both know that she is guilty as hell. Pretty, well spoken, spoiled rotten and very well loved. There, I testified and I am not afraid because she can't touch this, DA na na na, da na, can't touch this, Scottie time.

I am going to regret this somehow, someway, I feel the weight of the axe upon me. Heaven can't help me now. So be it, I have stood and been counted among the ones not hijacking this thread.

Trust me, you have forgotten a lot less than a lot of people even know.  Improper use of the language can affect some people greatly, it has such an effect on their minds and sanity.  But somehow, those aforementioned, they're not affected by it at all.  Go figure!  There, I said it.  Wasn't so difficult, was it.

That sounds like potty time, Michael Bentine's Potty Time to be exact...

Well spoken my once truly banned for life friend.

I must take this opportunity to say "welcome back", if I have not done so previously.

    I, for one, missed you.

Now, with the intent not to willfully derail this thread (upon direct orders), it would be prudent to hear from other long lost friends. Say a strange fellow with a hankering for beans and a jet loaded with haggis bombs, a kung fu andyson type of dude.

What say we? We shall not, ever, take anything over that is not rightfully ours.

Wonder if the beans are ready? I'm hungry.
