Boquerone, watch as many videos and do as many surveys as you can stand and accumulate credits so you can buy better equipment. It gets so much easier when you've got the best available. Unless of course you can afford to buy!

    Hi Barry,

I posted about problems putting and have loads of replies but i don,t know how you got involved.

Good idea to rejoin a Country Club and if you are proficient enough at the game invite some of the members to a game. That way you,ll get to know them better.

    Good Luck.

practise makes perfect, was in the same boat as you a month ago, now just averaging near 64, it gets easier as you go along till tier up.

    hi pilota

Thanks for the tips for putting distance control...I do not like coming up short when putting so I usually try and add 1-2% to my putts this has been working pretty well, I also look at the forward and backward  view trying to make small adjustments, also using ghost putter & putter-pal.  do you have any advice for chipping?.....I have been adding a foot for 2" UP  and 2 '  for 25% rough with backspin on the ball  this does not seem to be enough for say a PW, @ 70 %   on a  11 or 12 yd shot about a foot off the green.     have fun everyone:))

My rule of thumb on chipping is to use a club where I can use as much of the club as possible. When you start choking down on a club you lose distance. try using a club where you are using at least 75% on the meter. Under that does not work I have found. you need to use enough where you run just past the hole. you have a better chance of holing it that way. Backspin also takes some distance off the shot. Allow for it.

ill tell you how , first this putt meter on here lies about how far to hit the putt ,second of all no one on here wants to play me , i can be proficieant at times but when a higher seeded player on here sees amature they say omg its wild thing barry38372 thats how . now the second thing i had people who invited me but when i came to play my shot the comp loaded so slow and no one said anything about what was going on they let me hang , i cant be proficient as you say if i dont have a chance at better stuff without using card or completing dumb surveys , its stuipd , but hey i like playing so once again illplay myself if i have to just to play and get better.

barry i notice you still got EZ swing clubs in your bag, get them out and never use them again

pick a course and learn it, dont play other courses just stick with 1 course(kiah/andrews)

learn the putting, putting wins you games and good scores, you say the putter doesnt go the distance it says, thats true for most of the greens/tiers on here. add a foot for every inch up the hole is and subtract  a foot for every inch downhill the putt is,

did i mention dont eva use the EZ swing clubs again? i did well just so you remember burn em crush em up and bury them deep in the ground whilst forgetting where you burried em

once again putting is the key to this game, nail the putting and the rest falls into place, when you hit a green and are far away from pin you have got to get into the habit of no more than 2 putts, when you are closer and more conssitent with getting closer then the birdies will come.

what is the speed of green you are putting on? if its a slow green then of course you gotta add more than the stated distance, if on fast greens or above you will find you have to take of some length.

make your self a putter pal. HOW? either by using a ruler to measure the putter meter or buy the putter pal from the pro shop and then copy it for future use.

again putting is the key, after that work around the greens falls into place, and as for driving and 2nd shots into greens they will play themselves, dont worry about bad 2nd shots that leave you long putts bcoz you are going to be a good boy and force your self to 2 putt that green and walk of with par.

my advice on putting would be try using the ding method with aiming the marker left/right of hole dependimg on given hole, i know some plyrs use the method of not hitting the ding and leaving the marker on the hole and trying to judge it that way but i would argue this is not accurate and will never let you truly understand the greens.

just so you know, get those EZ swing clubs and boil em alive whilsrt chanting a ritual.

    best regards

    ladzrls

The advice you,re getting is all relevant.

The Easy clubs are a waste of time. Get some decent clubs as soon as you can.

Do you buy or use the earn credits function? Get as many credits as you can to buy decent clubs. You can accumulate quite a lot of credits in a day by looking often to see if there are videos to view giving credits. I,ve knocked up 18 credits just in a few hours this morning.

Putting is difficult and takes a lot of practice.

I don,t know how I,m at Pro Level as some of my scores are ridiculous!

I,ve lost count of the number of times a good putt lands only inches from the hole! So frustrating.

But persevere mate and if you want a game against a fellow struggler just send me an invite.

    Good Golfing!
