In absence of any response from Icon, it is much appreciated that your friend Spielberg heard the whispers that came from San Fransisco, possibly via China, to our good selves - and we are good I must hasten to add; I myself am good, and you yourself are good, so there's the plural explained - our good selves here in our united kingdom of... well, United Kingdom.
I would, however, very much like to understand what 'routine maintenance' actually is. Tidying up the servers? If so, of what? Of maybe fixing bugs? If so, which ones? And does this mean new bugs were introduced? If so, which ones? We will find out eventually, so we might as well be told now. Or is this like a treasure hunt? But without clues!
Speaking of bugs, I know one which wasn't fixed, and that is what has now most commonly come to be known as the 'spin bug'. Before today I had never seen it. Maybe that's because I don't often play shots with full bs (that's backspin, not the other bs, although there's times when it feels like the other bs). But today, in a friendly game with a recent WGT friend acquisition, namely Sdorr, I did proceed, as one would (except Sdorr because he didn't know, but still managed to avoid the tree), to play the tee shot on the 4th hole with full bs (as well as aiming in the right rough and hitting early) in order to not hit the tree which has been so equivocally positioned to catch any unsuspecting drive with admirable efficiency. Anyway, it happened; no I didn't hit the tree, but rather than the ball climbing high into the air, it stayed very low. And this was after concessions on the previous hole.
And finally, snow. We were due to have a huge snowfall here this evening, but so far it has only been rain. So once again our superb weather forecasters... have got it wrong. It must be great to have a job where it is total guesswork, you are less than 50% right, yet you seem to have a job for life.
