You can practice courses or individual holes.  To play a practice round go to the game screen, select a course, stroke play and then set the mode to practice.  You can pick tees, wind, green speed and flag location.  Rounds played in practice mode won't effect your avgerage.

To play a single hole, click Community in the menu at the top of this screen, then Golf Courses.  From there you can pick a course and then a hole to play.   You can't make any changes but it's good for playing kryptonite holes.  If you find you're further down the fairway than from you usually are after your tee shot just tee off with an iron.  And playing 1 hole this way will still get you your daily bonus.

this is a point i have wanted to make here as soon as i started playing here. they need a driving range. i know i do. the whole part of this game is all about getting used to meter speeds and new clubs, and this is the #1 adjustment that needs to be made in this game, becasue we cant get to use new clubs in a practice mode even after we buy them. i have a lot of high hopes for this game, it has much potential, but stuff like this and club tuning are real pro's major specialties, and a pro isint a pro without the driving range.

The driving range idea has been mentioned ad nauseam but to no avail. It should be an annex to the pro shop, where players should be able to try out clubs for free. There should also be a practice green, chipping green etc. This would be pretty much in line with the way a real pro shop at a golf course would operate.

while new clubs are the main concern, thats not the only thing! there is a major part of golf that isint on the course!!! if this is the world golf tour, and there are "tour pros", than a driving range is necessary to create a real environment. the game is unrealistic and non-professional without the ability to practice specific shots. and it could allow us to learn our clubs and how spin effects them and beyond that detect glitches and differences in club inaccuracy.

I agree completely. To fully emulate the golf pro experience, driving range, putting/chipping greens are important. Even if it's not course specific.

If I want to practice a green side bunker, I can't always guarantee I will hit that bunker with my drive or second shot and if I have to hit two other clubs to get there and putt to get back to the tee, then I'm not going to be very effectively practicing the one shot I'm aiming for.

I appreciate that I can practice any hole on any course, but I would like to also have the experience of hitting the same clubs repeatedly on the range to get used to the swing of that club. Practicing a complete hole does not really accomplish that in a way I can truly gauge my results.

    Yep. I missed it too.

But the WGT software is like "Icecream", and works very different.

You can make the same Hole in 30 or 40 repetitions, and every one you have a different result.

But dont forget, golf is like a mental game, and you are not every time the same person.

And this game is a electronic game, realistically you play here with lines and numbers.

And every number have energie, you lost or have too much, with your shoots.Thats why you have different results !!!

Otherwhay, if you know some points where you have to hit the ball, than you can make a lot of nice eagles, birdis..

No. 8 from "The Ocean Course" is nice too have some pratice.

I think we can make a list, from all "Par 3" holes.

Thasn you have a very different driving ranche.

You can practice any full stroke play course you want. Go to the game client and click Explore WGT, then select a course, stroke play and set the mode to Practice instead of Ranked. Your score for that round won't be counted towards your average.

Try finding your way round the site or ask other players for help before slagging WGT off for not offering a facility that it in fact does offer.

If you had read all of the replies you would see that it is already acknowledged that any course can be played in practice mode. The points made for a driving range would meet an entirely different need. Of course that was covered in the other posts as well.

The purpose of threads like this, at least as I understood it, was to provide feedback to WGT and point out ways we, as players, feel it can improved.

I don't think "slagging off" accurately describes anyone's intention in posting to this thread--xcept yours, perhaps.
