Another hanging offence come the glorious day :)

This reminds me of a question. Why is the past tense for hanging someone hanged?  Where if it were clothes, they were hung.

If I was running late for work, I would say " I was hung up in traffic ", not "hanged up in traffic".

hung is a past participle, not past tense... like do/did/done

    I'm done

    I am well hung

So if Leon was put to death with a noose around his neck, his obituary would read:

The well hung man was hanged to death and everyone gathered around to see the stiff

    Like I said...anatomy

And no I do not wish any form of death towards Leon

Your the kind of jerk I'm talking about

Had a flashback of 30 years or so when I heard this one.

See if I get this right...

    A jerk is a tug

    a tug is a boat

    a boat is in water

    water is nature

    nature is beautiful

    so thanks for the compliment

Goes right along with " I know you are but what am I ?"
