Why Players Quit, to Save there Avg.? Who has lied to them?

    .

    1. What is my Average Score?
Your Average Score will be based ONLY on your best scores, so completing a bad round will not negatively impact your Average Score or Tier.

    2. How to Help You play smart,  by Finding out  ...What Goal you need next...? Just knowing  your Personal Best Score for Each Game Type, (18-holes,Front-9, Back-9) and the Course Name you played at and compleated...  Does  Great Things for You Right at  the Start........1st of All  This will Per mote You to find an Objective that is competitive to you only..Regaurdless of who's playing with you..Your confidence of ware  your Next Personal Goal .Is Knowing what you need next ....

Lets say,  your at St.Andrews for 18 holes,  and last week you played 18 holes and scored 66,.at your current tier, your Avg, drops by 0.40 to 0.60 tenths or more....and this time you  scored a 67, for 18 holes, but you notice that your Avg, hadn't budged at all like it did before,?                                 So, what happened?  Other then,  playing for 2 Hrs,   of your time.. Plus a fairly good % of Ball  durability loss,  from smacking  it 18, and some XP points?  So, In other words, had you of known in advance of what courses you played as well as your best scores, you may have played a differant game. after all we would all like to manage are game wth a sense of intelegence,

Good Direction. Saves Time.  That is, It's usually a waste knowing your just there for the Game of it, knowing each time you hit your Ball, Credits are flying off of it until it is gone,  course repeat  playing of courses you have already conquered by a high/low Score.....but dont get it twisted, Its fine to play the way you play, but if you want to give your AVG a chance to go lower? knowing is half the battle. not to mention your cost of balls, and in knowing when to continue, or quit, will save you some cash in the long run.. After all your compeating against your self, so why make it any harder then it already is?

knowledge  It Improves your ability to be Conservative at  times you dont really need to be.....Right?  You should  know at a glance, what your Goal is for the course you are playing, Helps you decide weather or not, you  need to get more Life out of your Balls you paid for? Plus it Saves Credits by being efficient, or Just  by  knowing Your Best Score for each event.... gives you a Plan of attack each and every time you Play  most  information. by Knowing your score and righting it down  for quick access,  is imperative ! It Will Decrease your time & Save you money  through Good course, Management... most competitive game here at WGT is a Player that has your Number, and that's  You, Playing  against your Personal Best.... Good Luck...

i was guilty of that  wen i  got to Legend ,i wanted to lower my avarage ,to be compare to the good Legends ,  i know my skills at 60 years old are not that good anymore ,,,,,but now  i  just finish my games ,and good or bad rounds, after 400 rounds, my bad ones will not hurt has much ,,,,,,,and i will not feel like a quitter the way i did for a while ............so good post Larkin .......sorry to all those i have not stayed to finish the game ..........  i am talking to about 6  players  here ......6  to many ....  :)  6  that may think twice before they play me again ..................So  all players quitting for the wrong reason ,there is a price to pay if you dont change your ways ,you will end up  with no friends and play by yourself ..........Frapp

Of course players quit to save their average. There could also be a million other reasons.I've quit games when I felt i've been robbed on multiple putts and too many deviations.I've quit games before to maintain my average (twice total).I AM A QUITTER! lol.

    Fact is.. in life.. we all "quit" at times; no matter if it's an online golf game or drunk sex.I see nothing disputable here that merits any further argument on the subject except for one thing;

When someone quits an alt shot game. That perturbs me because it directly affects my statistics in a negative way.

Would you be equally as irritated if someone quit on a "practice" round compared to a "ranked" round? If not, why?

I wish we could do polls on WGT. See what the majority thinks about quitting and if they (the diabolical quitters) should in some way be penalized.

If you quit a round with others players involved, and you have done so intentionally, then you have no business ever joining a game. Remain a golfsterbator and play with yourself. I have had my A$$ handed to me by players with twice my skill, as well as players who should be half my skill. I finish the game no matter what. My opinion of players who quit to protect their avg, well, it is too graphic to post on here. I am trying hard to reach Legend, and I am not shy about it. I see other TM's score history, where their last 15 or more games are all 29-30-31. Bull$hit. Doesn't happen, they are to damn vain to post the 33-34-35 rounds they shot between those, they forfeit on 17 or 18. Why? If you have hit that ball 33 or 34 times, it is half or more worn out. Get your xp's, post it and move on to the next round. It won't hurt your average. And it shouldn't hurt your feelings. Just be honest.

Attacking someone's moral integrity by insinuating that they're dishonest in reference to a golf game is simply preposterous. You can't control what other people do. We all play on our own time and our own terms.

Oh yes and it CAN hurt your average. Unless you've maxed out the ranked rounds needed to advance in tier it WILL hurt your average. It's the complete opposite of sandbagging so what exactly is the harm/foul? If a person quits you get less xp. Oh well. Whoever said you were entitled to it in the first place?

Nice honesty.  I quit allot too, to much BS.  the spin is bs, we the user have no controll & I get tired of the spin effect where the balls lands it takes a 90 degree left turn into the nearest bunker, or my favorite which just happened, i was 63 yards out, use my favorite wedge, put a little backspin on it, a perefct swing, lands with 3 yrds on the hole, but the back spin send it 50 yards backwards & when it lands it takes a sharp 90 degree turn & rolls forever. when all was done, I was 47 yards from the hole, but I was credited for a 98 yard drive.  That's enough WGT BS for 1 day.

This the only gold game i have played where there is no guarentee that the ball will go where you want it to, I have even had puts take a 90 degree left turn the second of club contact.   mmmmmm  that's when I quit, Cya later peoples

You currently have starter balls equiped, and you have been purchasing the B-ES wgt balls.  The spin is bs cause you have none... and with your crappy wedges I'm sorry to say but there is no way you are getting spin on the green esp that ridiculous story you tried to tell.

Sorry, I just found this post absurb

I've never quite understood the people who keep accusing quitters of doing so in order to protect their average. It is far more likely that someone will quit a game to protect their record. Someone trying to massage a fragile ego will be far more likely to want to look at their stats for a winning record against opponents. If they were looking at average they wouldn't be in games with other people.

Instead, those winning records puff them up. They look at that and deceive themselves into believing they are better than they really are when compared directly to others..

In games that have credits on the line (any gambling game) many of them would rather quit to go look for someone easier to fleece out of credits. They won't stay in the game after a bad shot or hole and face a challenge. Always looking for easy victims.

I agree, do not subject me to childish BS because their mother breastfed them so long they could ask for it. This is the real world, and here you are not center of the universe.
