Not much to tell when you read the context, sounds like he quits when he's having a bad round, be it golf or sex. ;-)

Quitting to protect your average might not be what they have in mind.

More likely they are quitting to save the time it takes to finish a round when it's going bad for them.

More attributed to anti-social behaviour rather than just the plain rudeness the other players see it as (myself included......).

Personally..I have no problem witanyone utting as long as they forfiet the game so th rest of players can continue without wasing ime by thewole disconnect..or jst no sayinanything at all. I've ha o quit several times myself.and have quit ecause all else ha..Sometimes things do come up. A children prolem..someone shows up unexpectadly..called in to work..for those of us on call..etc. Thats all good had to quit for all those reasons. All I'm saying is simply forfiet ut of courtesy to the other player.

Ok, so we have the theory on quitters, and a bit of science for averages, but this does not excuse the utter rudeness and unsporting attitudes of these players. Your unacceptable bs is not needed here or anywhere else, and that includes the other pack of sharking dogs, our sandbaggers.

As a TL I have no problems teeing it up with anyone, and even if I am stuck in a 9 hole game that could drag on for what seems an eternity, I find a sense of pride and achievement in trying to educate and coach lesser tiered players in improving their game.

I have made some nice friends and friended ppl just because they asked, even with my strong sporting attitude, I play for the enjoyment not for the trophies. So, Go Hard or Go Home.

    Rodent's Rant .... Out!!!!

very well said RR,  my thoughts exactly.   I have friends here that are from pro to tour legend and we all compete equally on given days. Peelcat

People that quit their ranked rounds to coddle their average is just silly.  It doesn't matter, what you score, you still need 400 rounds that average 60 and WGT only averages your top 400 rounds for tier advancement.  So quitting the ranked round is not just to coddle average, but to coddle their ego and throw away xp.  If you need your ego stroked in a virtual golf game, quit your ranked rounds.

Full ACK, except that it's 500 rounds minimum for Legend and Tour Legends...

In a 4 person game if someone quits at the end you just wasted an extra 20 minutes of your time so yes I think you are entitled to xp points.
