  paddysim2010:

  iv two drives over 390yrds in ranked games,but my long drive is still only 366,,

  I've hit a few around 390 but they all ran through the green. Mine weren't recorded either. I think it has something to do with running through, on, or over a green. Not sure. Maybe ICON could clarify?

  hey paddy..your drive's need to land on fairway or green (as far as i know ) for your driving stat over 390 to stand...maybe you crawled into 1st cut of rough, and this would explain why your stat still say's 366

  fella in my CC hit a drive and posted it in forum's today which went 438 yards, but creeped into 1st cut so it will not stand either.

  bummer but that's the rule's just like in real golf, where longest drives contest's only count if ball land's on short stuff

  We can make the argument that some shots, in match play, are the same as in stroke play. But match play is a separate competition against one opponent that represents unique risk vs. reward decisions. These are decisions based on what we see our opponent doing, which is a fundamental difference from stroke play competition. There is a difference between the two formats, some are major and some are minor...but even small differences affect equity when it comes to statistics. The simple answer is WGT is our committee and that is the way they have it set up.

  Well I too just hit a 81 foot putt in a rated stroke play game. I saved the replay to my profile. And it also didn't record in my stats. Read through these replies and the only thing I can think of is that it was off the fringe?

  It WAS from the fringe, true, and apparently that doesn't count to the record. In the same way, a longest drive will not count if it ends on the fringe, but it will count on fairway and green.

  Quite simple really, u can't have stats for a five hole round as is possible in matchplay, so unless the complete 9 or 18 holes are done then no stats are recorded.

  Couldn't be simpler and I am not a golf secretary, but I could have been if I so wished.

  Edit : and even then as mentioned above the tactical play in matchplay negates the statistics.
