    DizzyDuck:

If you don,t use one your no human but a machine.

Correct - Bollox is a living, breathing, sleeping, eating, golfing human machine.

As for HANDBOOK, and anyone else who thinks the low scores are cheating... stop the whining, they are not cheating. Concentrate on your own golf game for a couple of years, buy the best equipment and balls available, use every single ounce of advice you can find on the forums, and you too can achieve the scores. After that, I'll ask you how humble pie tastes.

    Here we go again...

One should not focus on the score posted but on the setup. As I wrote here long ago

    http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/54809.aspx?PageIndex=2

"Let me take a simple extreme example. Take a course made of par 4 only and put the tees at 50 yds from the hole on each hole with low wind, what could be the best score? With this setup, eagles on each hole are possible, which lead to -36. Is the score insane? Yes. Is it a strange score with respect to the setup? No at all."

What we have here. An unlimited tourney with moderate wind and tourney green from Tour Master/Master tees. Thus we get this leaderboard

    http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?ID=1362a409-4e26-4592-b571-a0060179588f

I am not at all surprized by the score posted by Sam (Bollox). Sam is one of the best (if not the best) player on this site. Under such "easy" conditions, a 52 is completely possible, yet this is still a great round (Sam, or any other player, cannot post a 52 each time he is playing that round of course).

Now you can compare with another tourney: single play, high wind on Royal St-Georges, championship greens from legend tee. You get the following leaderboard (don't forget that RSG is a par 70 while STA is a par 72)

    http://www.wgt.com/tournaments/leaderboard.aspx?ID=1f76eaa5-ff4a-4a22-ab93-9fe9016eb422

The difference is due to the setup! So before looking at the score, look at the setup!

    Regards

I don't know how is done now, but when I started, if you invited a friend via e-mail, you received a sleeve of WGT balls when your friend created an account. and your friend a driver! I remember also that if your friend purchased 10$ you received 200cr...or something like that.

He can also be trying to create a nice career earnings, but who knows

I see... do you think it's a good idea to inform the admins (how?) or do they normally read the forum posts?

Because who knows, maybe this guy would continue creating thousand+ of fake accounts to get a prize from the elite collection... :/ (he already "earned" >200$) That may be very tedious, but definitely much easier than earning it in a proper way...

I don't believe they cheat but what tools or outside device are they using to achieve scores in the low 50's in  tournaments with Heavy Winds and Tournament fast greens.

This game does not have power boost or caddie tips on greens.

You have to hit every green and sink every putt.

The game needs to be level playing field for all players especially now that serious $$ money is trading hands

The really great players on here spend a lot of their time learning all the courses, positioning of the ball for the best results, learning the breaks on the greens, reading the wind, playing the best equipment and of course they play against each other making them even better when they play.

Some people have worked it out how to play at the best of their abilities, just like in real life and some have not. I honestly believe that the top players are just gifted at what they do after all the hard work they have put into this game they are now reaping the benefits of all the hard graft.

I will continue to play and learn this game and hope that one day I too can compete at the top level, but until then I will have my nose to the wheel trying to get better instead of complaining that there are people that are just better than me.

I have a 5 y.o. niece who thinks I have a detachable thumb. I performed the only sleight of hand trick I know and convinced her I could remove my thumb at will.

During a recent trip to visit my brother, I was given the living room couch upon which to sleep.

I was dreaming of fishing. Specifically trout fishing. In my dream, I had hooked a large Brook trout that was putting up one hell of a fight.

I woke up to find the trout was actually my niece trying to remove my "fake" thumb at 3:00 a.m.

Players who assume low 50s scores must be the result of cheating remind me of my niece. She's neither stupid, nor gullible, but being only 5 years old, she doesn't have the frame of reference to understand how it's done. To her, there are only two possible answers; either my thumb is detachable, or I am a wizard.

Godelescher, the first quote on your repost was made by Vata7579 and not by me, I am not usually so pedantic but I don't like to be misquoted.

A nice analogy about your niece though.
