lol lol lol lol  i have been reading forum post after forum post and i even read a old post about WGT having the option to change performance on any virtual equipment when deemed nessasary...i to as a player for over 2 years have noticed slight performance issues with my irons, putter etc etc...i know WGT CAN AND WILL  make slight deviations to their virtual equipment so when thew new equipment comes out they will make $$$$ on them and of course your game will improve!! NOW that being said i know that these modifications can be altered i just don't agree with ti one bit!!! when i PAY $$$ for a certain peice of equipment VIRTUAL or NOT i expect to get what i pay for ..i mean i don't  see my real golf clubs loosing forgivness and distance after time lol so to keep this game real why should my virtual equipment . Anyways just my 2 cent's  hitem well!!

    Jolexi:
I lost 1 in the burn on St. Andrews 1st when I drove long the other day, I've had the same wind and hit the same shot dozens of times, but this time it just decided to keep rolling and plopped in the water around 350yrd. I even choked down the meter to make sure it wasn't too long for my approach.

Adding backspin, or no spin to a premium golf ball will add considerable yardage to any drive versus the free golf ball, even on a choked-down drive.

A premium golf will carry five to seven yards further per dot of distance versus the free golf ball, IMO.

You may have got caught in between the yardage gap with the free golf ball and the premium golf ball, and didn't compensate the distance correctly with the premium golf ball.

No disrespect and I know I've only being playing since the new year but I'm a legend so I've figured out what spin does and doesn't do.

I use Callaways, which I always use, and I'm not talking about a few yards I'm talking 50!

And you're still not getting my main point about why is it deemed lost when clearly it would not be.

I'm still trying to understand what to get Jo.

How can a ball be lost when it can't be lost? Either it is, or it isn't.

The bottom line is, we all lose golf balls. Its the nature of the game of golf. The better you play, the less golf balls you lose.

This is not an attack on your WGT playing skills. Even the best players lose golf balls.

Keep it classy Jo! : )

My argument is WHERE WGT deem the ball lost.

I had a ball taken away as lost in the Swilken Burn, which is a little stream about 3" deep 4' below your feet, therefore totally visible and not lost. Probably unplayable and a penalty drop yes, but NOT lost and unrecoverable.

The same goes for balls OB on the next fairway being taken away as lost....WHY?

How is a ball lost when it would be sat plain as day in the middle of the next fairway?

Out of bounds and a penalty drop, yes, fine. BUT NOT LOST!!

Anyway my argument is not with you, it's with WGT. And it seems falling on deaf ears.

I think loss of balls is simply down to simplicity. It makes the game easier if all out of bounds are deemed a lost ball, and all balls in water are down as lost too. I'm not saying it's right but when they put this game together it must have made it a lot easier to have it this way than come up with a sort of lottery on which balls are findable and which aren't. Maybe somewhere along the line they'll come up with a fairer system but I can't think of one.

It's about time WGT started charging us for tee's, pack of 100 for 50 credits!!! A little warning box when your down to your last one with an option to buy more,  like it does for the balls.

    Every little helps :))

    Yeah you're probably right piz

It's just so annoying when it happens in an area where you know it's just not right.

Especially when you've only hit slightly off line and the "deviation" decides the rest.

Well if they want to make the game real like than there should be a feature that allows for you to find balls. In the real world I have not bought a ball in decades. I find them.

Good way to put it, Piz. This probably applies to other parts of the game, too, like how the "draw/fade" thing works but you don't actually see the flight as such.
