I raced thru my first round in 11 minutes, caring more about seeing all the holes than my score.

    2nd round where I actually aimed was a 29 :)

First round 29, 7 birdies, putting for eagle on #3 and #9 (missed)..... par on the par 5 and the par 3! lol.  Hole #2 I had a 33 footer that I sank for the bird!

    Sweet!

Well it wasn't quite the pain that Lou predicted or I expected.  Left the first 4 holes way too short expecting the greens to run hard and fast.  # 9 was the only trouble experienced when I put it in the long fescue twice, blew it out 30ft past the hole and somehow made the par save.  Looking forward to the entire course being online and the tourneys to come.  I'll take 3 under any day.  As for Bolly and Lee you guys are in a league of your own.   =)

So far I have 3 32s, and a 30...with eagles at #5, #6 and #9...someone is going to go really low today...I think this course is so much fun to play.

Opened with a 32 first time (5 birdies, 1 bogey at #2). Played a 2nd time with Guild teammates and we shot 32, 33, 33.  We joked that par on the front 9 is really 32.... love the course. Hardest thing was getting used to whether some holes played long or short on approaches. Greens held reasonably well in certain areas; but lots of downslopes to avoid. Excited to get in more rounds! See you all out there!

    marioh:

I predict my first 9 hole round at the Old Course will be between 1-4 strokes over par.   :)

But don't be too surprised to see some really good scores put up, even right when it comes out.   It's not like this is a new course for most people who've played different golf games, so that will probably help the learning curve quite a bit.

Well, I was way off on my estimate.

My first round at the old course...
