Being a recent addition to WGT (3 Days now) i find this site has excellent for graphics, great courses, though i would like to see more, and the overall game and set up is very good. The only draw back i have encountered are Quitters, People who have 1 bad hole and quit to save their rating, people who quit know there are no reprisals, and this sucks the fun out of a game, it makes it difficult to finish a full round, there should be some penalties applied to people who join a game but leave before it is done. nothing drastic of course, no need to ban anyone, but to add 10 strokes to their rating everytime they quit a game would probably be a good detriment. Other than that this site is very well done and i will be using upgrades soon, keep it up, good job!

In a match, or game between two or more people, then this should be the case, but having a practice round on your own, then yes, why not? Unfortunately, there are/can be far more distractions - wife, kids or the pets - than if you were really on a Golf Course.

If I may give you a positive thought about this. I look at it this way, I win and they lost.

There seriously needs to be a seperate forum devoted specifically to quitters/quitting/incomplete match-play etc.  I'm certain it would be the busiest forum here.  Or at least a sticky somewhere that is entitled...."Complain about quitters here".  I don't play multi-player so it doesn't effect me, but there is at least 2 threads a day started on this topic.....Geez.

I love that GIF........so appropriate to for many things aorund here....

Come on WGT bring us the reputation to at least help.  I will agree with the sticky to in the meantime, why have so many seperate threads for the same thing, make it easier for people since everyone agrees and wants to vent about it.

JJ... not everyone agrees.  While I think I have quit on 1 or 2 MP rounds, both were with a friend that quits on me in frustration numerous times, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

It doesn't ruin my game if someone quits... I don't care enough to make WGT detour valuable resources and time to this issue.  I would rather they spent their time elsewhere.

But, the hundreds of people who jump on here and whine and whinge about do need a place to post their gripes.

IMO, It's just not that big of a deal.  I just hate it when they do it and make the game freeze.  Leaving the game doesn't effect me either way, but messing up my game does.

    Peace.

A player should be required to finish at least one of every three rounds he/she plays, to get a more accurate skill rating. If one fails to finish at least a third of his/her games, they should have to start over with a 150 rating.

I'll toss this out there again.  A $5.00 greens fee for anyone playing with others.  Completely refundable if you complete the round.  Problem solved.

Well that is a good idea in theroy DMM but there will be people who quit from no fault of their own, ie loaded down WGT server, random disconnection, IP problems, etc

There are many good ideas out there already, reputation is but one of them.

Snaike I'm with ya, I dont join random games either and dont have the issue but so many people do and, they should be able to, without running into a quitter every 2nd round or so.
