I do like the idea of the Reputation Tracker.

And yes, my idea has shortcomings.  It would be great if there was a way for WGT to detect if someone quit or they were bumped offline.  Also, those without credit would not be allowed to be in multi-player games.

So, until there's a good solution I only play in match play where if the other person quits it's a win for me.  Though that hasn't happened yet.   I've had to win my few matches the hard way... by actually beating my opponent.

Though I did have one guy quit when I had him way down and he tried to get me to quit as well.  What's with that?!

I finished my first round started as a foursome with more than 2 people today. I guess I don't care anymore, if they quit they quit.

    Doublemochaman:

I'll toss this out there again.  A $5.00 greens fee for anyone playing with others.  Completely refundable if you complete the round.  Problem solved.

DMM if this ever happens can you lend me $5.00 i promise ill pay you back lol

Chipshotcharlie... no problem.  Just let me run a credit check on you first.  :)

I'm not sure I follow the intention here. My only purchase was done with a credit card and  I don't leave a balance on here, because it is not refundable in cash. I only pay for what I want, and leave no extra credits laying around, yet ALL I play is multi-player games and an occasional tourney.

I guess I'm just not seeing the correlation between having credits available to play a free multi-player round?!

Van... the correlation relates to my idea several posts above.  If there was a $5.00 greens fee that was fully refundable if you complete the round you'd need to have at least 5 bucks in your account at all times.  That was just a number I grabbed out of the air.  It could be $3 or $1... enough to make you think twice about quitting.

    DMM,

Thanks, I guess I should have went back and read - I'm too dependent on the Quote function and am guilty of not going back to piece posts together to connect thoughts- my bad, lol.

I haven't really digested that suggestion yet, but do know that I can't support it until they have mans in place of deciphering an intentional quit, and a server error, etc. And you know that everyone is gonna lodge a complaint about such and such an error in order to get there investment back! It would also be costly for WGT to implement a system to monitor drops and credit exchanges automatically. They sure can't commit man-hours to doing something like that and still stay afloat.

I'm still leaning towards just dropping the 'forfeit game' option all together. Then the reason for the drop does not matter, and it is less work and cost for WGT. You just force everyone to resume a dropped round the next time they log in, before they are able to play anything else. Almost no cost to implement, as the resume feature is there as an OPTION. It just requires ditching the forfeit option, and automatically resuming where the game got dropped.

    Snaike:
But, the hundreds of people who jump on here and whine and whinge about do need a place to post their gripes.

Under stats in our profiles is the stat for match play wins and losses

I think that putting stroke play in our profiles, wins, losses and quits would alleviate some of the quitting, but I can understand when players get behind by 4 or 5 strokes and you have 3 or 4 holes remaining, that the urge to quit is strong. What I do not understand is players who quit, and refuse to chat with you, congratulate you on your win, and explain that they feel that they have no way to come back in the game. If a player had the humility to do that, then I think most of us would not continue whining about this problem. I have quit on a few games, but before I hit the disconnect, I did explain to the player why I am quitting.
