Yes I have read tibbets thread in regards to psj vs wgt servers.  Come to think of it I have read everything on this site that reflect meter performance issues.  Just frustrating at times that this major issue has not been resolved.   Hopefully with the next installment of the upcoming Adobe flash which is still in beta will provide a more consistent platform that WGT can work with.

The other thing, is it the flash control talking to the server or is it the browser.  I use firefox, thus the flash component is a plugin.  Where as with  I.E. it is an activex control.

Anyway till something new comes up, or with their next product update, we will have to wait and see what improvements have been made.

I can also play at 3:00 am in the morning and it runs way better than at peak hours.....except the unlimited play 18 holes March-April at Bethpage.  This particular tournament runs slower than anything I've ever experienced at this site....no matter what hour I play it.  If I try to zoom in, it takes a couple minutes to load.  I can't even move my aimer for at least 2 minutes.  Every shot I take, it freezes in mid air, then eventually shows me the result of the shot without ever showing me how it got there.  Each hole takes me close to 5 minutes to play.

See if you notice the same thing.  How would you explain why this specific tournament runs so much worse than everything else?  It's a nightmare to play.  I usually just give up no matter how good my score is.  It's like torture playing that tournament.

Wow that is very strange indeed for that one tourney only, its possible its on a very slow server but it doesnt seem likely and I have never heard anyone complain on that one before, maybe someone else will pipe in.

Those issues you note I do see to some degree when everything is bogged down but I see them everywhere, CTTH, etc  and it is more painful playing because everything is slower.

What you are seeing is really extreme though, something very very weird there, you should try sending some bug reports and maybe email WGT about that one.

I do want to apologize here in the forum to my friend Infinito who was the bigger man in this debate and kept his cool while my tone wasn't the greatest.... :)

Its a frustrating problem for sure, mine seems very obvious thus my frustration but many other people see very different things and I wasn't making that clear enough earlier hence some communication breakdown.

To clarify, some people see problems at anytime of day, some mostly all at one time in the peak hours so it appears that different combinations of things are the attributing factor for this.

ex.  for me on XP and IE7, peak hours are the only time I have a problem, and I also see graphic stutter, longer load times, etc.

For someone else, XP and firefox, he sees problems anytime of day and bad, like 1 -3 meter stutters per every 9 holes, but not long load times or graphic issues.

Many things at work and a ton of variables to consider, all I know is I am NOT upgrading to IE8 from what I have heard people say so far, at least I know now when I might have problems and can avoid tourneys in that window, I dont want them all the time for sure!

I too was ticked off at the SLOW refresh rates, constant delays, disconnects, etc.  Did two different speed checks to test download and upload speeds.  Everything showed normal for my internet settings.  Was looking in the forums to see if anyone else had the same issues as I was having.  It was taking about 45 minutes just to play a CTTH game.  By myself!  I was TICKED OFF!  I suspected like you, that server overload was the issue and I was looking somewhere that I could voice my complaint.  Until a few minutes ago.  Can't believe it!  My wife was having trouble with the AT&T U-Verse recorded shows not displaying and so i unplugged the unit to let it refresh.  As soon as I did that, suddenly WGT started working like it should.  Everything was quick and responsive.  Our internet, TV, and phone, all work using the U-Verse system.  Haven't noticed any other issues, but I'm thinking that this has something to do with my issues now.  Somehow the U-Verse box is interferring with the gateway i think.  I'm not too technical.  Don't know the real cause, but at least I found the problem with the refresh problems.  Don't know if this helps you in your situation, but wanted let you know what happened to me just in case.
