CerinoDevoti:The WGT thing is photo-realism, not Photoshop-realism. You can't imagine they'd photoshop like 300,000 pics per course just to make it rain can you?
WARNING! Do not read any further if you want to maintain the fantasy of WGT photo-realism!
Don't say I didn't warn you!
Here it comes!....Look away if you don't want to know the truth!!

WGT already "Photoshops" every single picture.
I think we've all laid on the grass and watched the clouds move by in the sky. Oh look there's a bunny rabbit! In a few moments or minutes the bunny has gone and now it looks like a dragon. In real life, clouds move, clouds grow, clouds shrink, clouds change shape.
On WGT photos they just move. On WGT they don't grow, shrink or change shape.
WGT "Photoshops" the sky on every single photo.
For example, on STA #18....

If the sky in these photos were real, wouldn't the clouds have morphed into different shapes in the time it would take to walk the 225 yards from the red tees to the ball for my second shot? Of course they would.
And I'm betting there are other things "Photoshopped" out of the pictures as well. Like people (other cameramen perhaps), cones used as targets for pin locations, etc.
I'm also betting WGT's tools to do this editing are much more robust than just plain old Photo Shop. Automated I'd hope to reduce the time to produce as you say 300,000 pics.
The bottom line for this topic is, they could change the sky to overcast, to thunderheads, to whatever the weather dictated.
And WGT has another option with TruGolf's ability to add weather to the photos they produce for WGT. The next TruGolf course, assuming there is one, could have grey skys and mist as seen in this TruGolf video.
