I guess it depends if you want a slow meter or don't mind learning to use a faster one. The R9 is a great driver that gets you good distance but can be hard to control every now and then. It has a speedy meter . You're 2 levels away from Rocketballs driver that is a slow meter speed and same distance as the R9.

As for irons the G20's will last you a long time. I FINALLY got to level 79 and got the burner 2.0's after having them forever. They have a high ball flight and you can really stick shots with them.  It will take you a ton of playing to get to level 79 so I wouldn't wait till then to get those irons.

Bob, While  I am probably not the best one to give advice I see that no one mentioned a better ball! Sure, get your clubs first, but consider trying the best ball you can get also! This will also improve your game considerably. Use them for Tourneys & use freebees for fooling around.

He is playing with a Srixon . I have never tried them, but I know it's a decent ball.

Yes they are Decent balls, but the nike's are the best & play like it, if you can afford them!! That's why I believe if you pay for the best ball they should last longer accordingly!

Thank you YUBHatin, Timmy, Buckeye and ljbast. All comments taken on board and now have to decide what to go for. As credits are kinda low, I think I'll wait till I gain some more before spending.

It can take me a week to gather 50 views for a redeem of 75 credits. I don't know any faster way of collecting credits. My thanks again guys.....

    piztaker:

The 50 yard satin will only cost you 200 credits and it will last you forever. Use it instead of the hybrid and you'll probably save 5 shots a round. Have fun.

This and a lvl 47 Rapture 3WD (230 yds) took me to Master, driverless...

    Hi P,

Thank you for your suggestions. Do you mean use the Rapture instead of my driver and is the satin the Z Satin TP 64° Wedge (L39+) (250credits)?

    My thanks again in advance....

    Bob.

I mean to use the Rapture wood instead of the starter driver. While the tee shot is comparable (with advantage for the 3WD against the wind) you win a nice&long second shot of 230+ yds from the fairway. You have the Pro driver which is a bit longer.

Another advantage is the higher precision&forgiveness of a custom club against the Starters. I never dropped the Starter 3WD but I feared to use it because the results seemed unpredictable against the Rapture.

Maybe it might be a good deal for you to get a good 3WD instead of an expensive driver.

And yes, I made good use of that wedge, on recommendation of piz IIRC.

Thank you for explaining that for me. The 3WD seems the best option for now I admit. And the Satin I guess is a must.

I'll be offline till Sunday so will lose my XP, but it'll give me time to make a decision which is not my strong point....lol.   My thanks again alosso for taking the time to reply.....

DAD111, it would be better for you if you got the G20 fairway wood (L58).  It has more distance, precision, spin, and most importantly a high trajectory compared to the rapture wood.  The G20 will also match the G20 irons should you choose to get them (the whole set is excellent).  Trust me, you need that high trajectory as you progress in this game.
