chipshotcharlie:My problem is if its standard consistent deviation, shouldn't it be that every game should show this deviation not 2 good days then a week of horror then good again.
Hi, Charlie-hope that leg's almost there. With regard to the quote, try looking at it like this. In real life on the course you could say the very same thing. One week you're crushing the ball and nailing greens and the next week you're all over the place and couldn't hit a green with a laser. Isn't that the way it is for most golfers?
Now translate that as it applies to this game. Some days, like you pointed out, are good and some are not.In an online game where there usually is a finite computation for every action( computers basically being nothing more than adding machines) it would stand to reason that eventually someone would "TWO" it and become perfect.
How do you prevent this from happening and make this more life like? LOL-Take your pick-the beast, vemmie, deviations, quirks, servers or anything else you can think of. The fact remains that regardless of how it's done the end result is the same frustrations, failures and successes that a real golfer endures.
You not being able to get a birdie "for all the money in china" today doesn't mean tomorrow you won't bankrupt the house! If the pro's have to put up with ups and downs it stands to reason that virtual golfers should be too. Aint easy to swallow sometimes but it's the real thing, IMO.
