There was similar chat on this subject a few weeks ago on another thread. A couple players, myself included, also commented on how you could tell what your round was going to be like after only a few shots. Seems like some rounds everything goes smooth, 30-40 foot putts drop left and right, and it is easy to stop the meter on the sweet spot the majority of the time. Then the next round (with the exact same equipment and similar course conditions) it seems like a perfect meter hit is down to 40-50% at best, shot deviation rises, and putts outside of 8-10 feet are almost impossible.
There definitely seems to be more at play here than standard, consistent deviation.
i'm glad i read this thread, i was going a little nuts with the sudden treatment from this game. i'll go a bit beyond saying i know how the round will go after a few shots, i know depending where the meter decides to stop what each shot will be like.
at the moment i have to click 3mm (1/8" for the US;) ) before the ding due to the meter just not stopping when i click. sometimes it does stops straight away, goes left. then sometimes it'll skip and end up right. but the most annoying is when it does eventually ding i know it's not going to be a good shot. it'll normally be short, but anything can happen. only about 10% of ding shots are good results.
very, very frustrating.
tried chrome, gamebooster, praying before every shot......no difference.
i've always thought this game had a bit of a leveller applied to it for most players, VEM if you like, but i'm getting hammered right now pretty much all the time.
it's only really started happening since the last big update, before that other than the odd skip and jump the game was pretty stable for me, now it's nearly unplayable and there's nothing within my computer that's different. it's the same as it was when the game behaved itself!
i'm hoping for a new update very soon and hoping it'll solve it. fingers crossed
