All, look at my stats, look at my putting stats, look at my average.
Mine can be greatly improved.
Now look at Golds.
Now look at yours (a few withstanding)
Are they better than Golds? Mine?(many are)
When Gold first brought this up, I too was dismissal of it, until I had some words with him, although I have not devoted much time to his formula, he has some very valid theories.
I find it funny with the "does Tiger xxxxxx?}
Does "Phill.....xxxxx?"
I guess those that pose those questions have never been close enough to the real players to know, that in effect, yes they do.
Follow along, this is very typical of a pro/caddie conversation on a shot
Pro: Where are we?
Caddie: 157 out
Pro: I think hard nine, back in stance some
Caddie, 8 choked in front will play to the pin better
(notice all the time, caddies is looking at his note book of the holes)
Back and forth, 3 minutes later shot is struck.
Okay, most of us cannot hear what is being spoken about on the greens, while caddie and Pro are spending 3-4 minutes to line up a shot.
Could they (for goodness sakes) be "calculating" the best line for the putt?
Open your minds some, you don't need this formula for a 12 footer at BPB, but maybe at Oak it may help? Them funny angles at KI?
I too was an expert, until I learned more:)
