It's heating up and we don't mean the weather. The Fire Breathing Showdown starts now!

If it’s your first time playing in a Showdown, here is everything you need to know.

Qualifying Round

• The qualifying round lasts three days

• Players have a daily chance each day of the qualifying round to secure their spot in the elimination round

• The top 50% of the qualifying round leaderboard advance to the elimination round

• Players that qualify on day one (top 50%) do not need to play on day two or three of the qualifying round

• Players that do not qualify on day one are still eligible to compete on days two or three to secure an elimination round spot

Elimination Round

• The elimination round lasts two days

• Players only get one chance to grab a spot in the final round, unlike the qualifying round

• The top 50% of the elimination round leaderboard advance to the final round

Final Round

• The final round also lasts two days

• If you’ve made it this far, you’ll receive a prize no matter what, but the higher you rank, the bigger the prizes

Other Things to Know

• We base scoring on total strokes, meaning the fewer shots you take to complete your matches, the higher you rank on the leaderboard

• Incomplete or forfeited holes score as bogeys

It's a full day at WGT! Here's what's happening starting today carrying through the weekend:

Free Spring Ball Effect

Get a Spring Ball Effect and XP Ultra Boost when you purchase WGT Credits through 4/11.

Purchase 1,000 or more WGT credits to grab your Spring Ball Effect (500 hits) and a three-day XP Ultra Boost (+40% XP). Your XP Ultra Boost will automatically activate once you buy credits.

Activate your Spring Ball Effect by clicking the ball icon under your swing meter and toggling through your available ball effects.

Free Rentals

Watching that big tournament at Augusta? Try some new clubs commitment-free while you're posted up on the couch.

Now through 4/13, you can head to the Pro Shop to try any clubs you've been eyeing.

As a bonus, you can purchase any clubs you rent at a discount after the rental expires. There is no limit on how many clubs you can rent, so rent as many clubs as your heart desires before the end of the weekend!

*Free rental promotion starts 4/10/25 at 12 PM PT and runs through 4/13/25 – open to all WGT players on eligible platforms. Rental clubs last 24 hours each and can be re-rented during the promotion.

CC Event #252

Collect your club and put all your eggs in one basket to win the blue egg tee marker and flag!

This CC Event will be on the following six courses:

• Chambers Bay (back 9)
• Congressional (front 9)
• Kiawah Island (back 9)
• PGA National (front 9)
• Royal St. George's (back 9)
• St Andrews (front 9)

New to CC Events? We’ve got you covered with a few things you should know:

• CC Events allow WGT Country Clubs to compete against each other for bragging rights and special in-game rewards

• The club that earns the most points from their Clashes wins

• When your club enters the event, you will match with a club of a similar skill level, and a timer keeps track of how much play remains in that Clash

• Club members from both sides can play as many rounds as they’d like during the play time using Club Passes and Superpasses to earn points

• WGT Country Clubs can use Course Builder currency to create custom courses to play in country club tournaments

Each event contains Club Clashes that last four hours, so keep playing and keep your eyes on the leaderboard!

There’s no better way to start your week than with a little (Coin) Chaos.

It’s simple. Play games, earn points and win prizes.

You automatically enter the chaos by playing in special Coin Chaos coin rooms that feature point multipliers. The bigger the room, the bigger the multiplier. This week's event has three Match Play limited-time coin rooms: 1x multiplier, 3x multiplier and 5x multiplier.

Earn points by completing actions on the scoring list.

• 250 Points - Hole-in-one

• 40 Points - Hole a chip shot

• 20 Points - Win a game 2 up

• 15 Points - Hit the flagstick

• 10 Points - Win a game 1 up or better

• 10 Points - Win a game

• 5 Points - Win a hole

• 4 Points - Get a heartbeat shot

• 2 Points - Halve a hole

• 1 Point - Hit the “ding”

You’ll then be ranked on daily, weekend and global leaderboards depending on when and how much you play.

• Daily Leaderboard - Each weekday individually

• Weekend Leaderboard - Saturday and Sunday combined

• Global Leaderboard - Entire event duration

Each leaderboard has unique prizes, and if you score enough, you can win prizes from all three leaderboards during the same Coin Chaos event. See you out there!
